Violent video game is now linked to 4 teenage deaths

That's the only kind of journalism these days? everyone seems to have an angle

Skewed?

The BBC is normally pretty neutral and reliable,

Lol! Fair and balanced. ¬_¬

but if you're in doubt, a quick google search will throw up the same story from different perspectives. By doing this you can usually get closer to the truth.

Most people twist it for their argument.

Newspapers though are the last place to look for the actual truth.

Sums up nearly most of the nation. There's hardly a day that goes by on this forum that it's talk about newspapers.

I do love watching journalists become rattled. Thats the real truth.

I totally forgot about Sonic on the news back in the 90s. Wasn't there stories of them complaining it was causing seizures/epileptic fits? One thing I did notice when I was playing it around 10 - 12 and friends, we all became really hyper after a few hours on it. Like too much coffee.

Weirdo! We never got to hyper levels or anything, just used to do forward rolls pretending to be like Sonic, totally ruining clothes on the grass.

Worth it.

I blame Cod, it's so bad it makes me want to physically harm myself so I can see others taking it a step further.

These kids were also all male.

Therefore, I conclude that all males kill themselves in their teenage years.

Watch this space for a Daily Mail article.

I think the whole he played "______" violent game is just crazy. I watched violent movies at a young age, I never hurt anyone, how is a game any different? A lot of people play violent games or watch violent movies/shows. If they caused violence, why do we only hear about it a few times a year?

M'eh it is well documented that the most dangerous media of all for young kids is WWF (And or the many MANY spin offs)

I concussed one of my mates delivering a tombstone and there have been a fair few fatalities and really serious injuries from kids believing that rubbish like that is possible and you are going to be able to get up and walk away.

My 12 Year Old has been playing BF for a fair while now, I have yet to see him try to strap C4 to anyones car or gib them from behind with a knife.

What about all those kids in the 90's watching American wrestling and mike Tyson fights.

That went on to live perfectly ordinary lives :p

'One afternoon I heard him laughing'

Cool story bro.

Don't get why they're still saying video games cause people to kill themselves. Plus, there are many more gruesome games than CoD.

To be fair Super Mario Brothers made me violent towards tortoises and have a minor addiction to magic mushrooms, so their might be some truth to these inquests.

I've heard kids have taken to injecting the video games and that's why they're now be killing so many. Before they were just smoking the video games and that's OK because Bill Clinton smoked the videos games and he's ok because anyone who wails on sax and doesn't afraid of anything is a pretty cool guy in my book.
