*** Official Battlefield: Hardline Thread ***

So Visceral are handling the campaign and DICE the MP? I actually think it looks like it could be great. Looking forward to seeing more of it.
 
I guess there will be some nice looking trailers to entice people into buying it before being released and then people find out the poor quality, seems to be the same scenario for BF3 and BF4. I am so glad I didn't purchase BF4 after how botched BF3 was. Saw some recent offers on HUKD that BF3 was being given away for free, so i guess won't be too long till BF4 also joins that pile.
 
Really like the look of this but if it has all the MP bugs that BF4 has then I'll be giving it a wide berth.

Aha did not see that apologies. hopefully the frostbite engine will have 'matured' enough to make hardline a bug free experience. I like the idea and the content in that video looks nice.
 
Never got the last one to work very well so gave up. BF2 was the peak for me, loved that game and often played with a bunch of drunk mates on Friday and Saturday after a night out till silly o'clock in the morning.

If the game was strong enough on its own, why couldn't they turn it into a new franchise ?

I think because ulitmately it is a battlefield game, it has large maps that are all open to the player, the classic BF vehicle types and weapon types, and will of course use the BF style of fps gameplay. It's a Bf game but not military themed like all the others.
 
I think this looks really good and will be a good change for BF. With Visceral being involved to the single player game may be good to. Certainly something I will be getting on release.
