Managed to drop and spill a full pot of Actimel down my drivers seat and down the side of the handbrake and all over the carpet :( The smell is horrendous. Managed to get some stain remover and a few cloths to get most of it up but a lot has gone through and I can not get the smell out, ironically the stain remover has left huge marks on my seat :( Not good.

What can I use and how do I get to the side of my seat and carpet, would I have to take the whole seat out??

Thinking of a local car wash and see if they have a wet vac to try?

There's no point in messing about. Get the seat out, depending on the car it's probably only 4 bolts and 1 cable to unplug.

Then hire a rug doctor or similar from Morrison's/Tesco and clean the seats and carpet properly. Worse case scenario get a replacement seat from eBay if the stain remover has stained the seat. Unlucky fella :(

Yeah not good :( Only a 10 month old Focus, not sure how easy it would be to remove but I guess I have to some how, the smell is shocking.

Ha and cant believe the stain remover staining the seat classic that :)

I managed to spill half a cup of coffee all over the centre console and carpets, and then split open a bottle of crabbie's alcoholic ginger beer in the footwell with some enthusiastic cornering. The combined smell was rather interesting to say the least. My solution was to take the roof off and leave it overnight, then attack it with every cleaning product I could find. This was in a 17 year old car though, not sure I'd be happy doing that with a car like yours.

Hmmm just looked at a few guides and its a bit complicated removing the seats as they have an airbag in them? Need to disconnect the battery to remove and I may loose all my radio codes and stuff like that?

It should still be straight forward enough. Most modern cars don't have a radio code, or if it does it'll be on the inside of your documents.

Even with an airbag it's still normally 4 bolts and unplug some gubbins - just watch as it'll probably be quite heavy and it's easy to scratch the car when removing them
