Only front speakers sound on YouTube?

Hia,

I have a 5.1 system but only the front speakers give sound on YouTube, mp3 etc works fine. Speaker fill enabled on the Realtek HD Audio Manager.

ALC 892 Codec

I seem to remember on my old set up I was getting 5.1 all the time, am I tripping?

it was probably up-mixing the stereo into 5.1, my music player (MusicBee) can do that

Why would they list 5.1 in the recommended youtube video settings then if youtube only supports stereo

last I heard they disabled 5.1 because it was causing "issues"
