I've finally cracked. This week I installed Uplay and Origin to sit alongside Steam. I hope they play nicely together.

The biggest problem with Origin is that the reward for installing it is that you get to play EA's games catalogue. Seems more like a punishment to me.

I have to disagree. I can live with Origin. U(don't)play on the other hand.

Comparing Origin to uPlay, I'll totally agree with you. My experience of uDon'tPlay this week was nothing short of rage inducing, whereas admittedly Origin has been faultless of late.

At the beginning however...

Uplay is just plain bad, I've never had a problem with Origin, actually think its quite a good system and my download speeds are always better on Origin than any other platform.

Don't honestly know why it gets the flak it does, although it has allowed EA to inflate the PC game prices on their platform.

I think Origin runs the best out of them all, Steam has become a bit of a slog in recent years.

It makes no difference to me which I use. I make sure none of them start with windows and I always use game shortcuts, so I never really use the clients. Unless of course I'm entering in a key I've bought elsewhere.

uplay refuses to accept i own any ubisoft games unless i get steam to tell it i do

origin is kinda tacky, the only good thing to some extent for me is the free games, considering the only title i have on origin that i actually paid for is one i bought from steam. i dislike the battlelog thing with the bf games, although i suppose thats not origin itself.

steam is the best for me, if it has any faults i haven't found them yet, everything just works

For me:

(Origin ~ Steam) >> UPlay

The latter is complete rubbish, can't even purchase Watch Dogs from there at the moment - keeps throwing me a "Server Error".

Origin and Steam are much of a muchness, I don't see everyone's problem with Origin - runs fine for me.

Uplay is a mess, I think Origin is tidier and quicker than Steam, you have Origin that lacks features, and Steam which is getting a bit bloated and disorganised.

I will take Origins support over steams any day, though I prefer Steams prices.

For me origin is the nicest to use followed by steam. Uplay has always been fine for me but the Watch dogs release was poor due to no preload which resulted in too much traffic. Hopefully the learn and try to improve.

personally its

Steam > being stuck in traffic > Origin > being set on fire > Uplay.

origin is an inconvenience for playing battlefield, Uplay is just horrid.

Never had a problem with Uplay personally, i can only think of 2 times its been down when i've wanted to use it.
Steam is 99% reliable and I don't bother with Origin.

Maybe that will change when I get round to playing Watchdogs.

I like the Uplay points system for dlc and bonus stuff. Got it because Watch Dogs requires it.
Got Origin for the Battlefield 3 giveaway. Now I have it I may get Mass Effect 3 sometime too.
Am most used to Steam and their frequent bargain pricing.

I have Ghost recon future soldier for Uplay...but whenever I enter the key or try to..it says either my account does not exist or the game key is invalid , this also happened with my daughter's game too ..so I think I shall give ubisoft games a miss

I have heard of this being a problem with some games that are region locked and are trying to activate a game registered too the wrong country, i doubt thats the problem in your case but might be worth checking out.
