Hey guys,

My mate just pulled the trigger on a new build which I've been helping him choice the parts for over the last few weeks. Where hopefully going to build it this weekend.

Since it's his bday I have also brought him a sweet keyboard and I'm thinking to get some LED strips too. Just wondering what would be better 12cm bitfenix strips or the 30cms.

It is sort of a red/black theme inside, with a red/black motherboard, black GPU and black ram sticks. Red band for the Corsair SP120.

I was thinking a white strip in the base and the red strip on either the back or front. Any suggestion welcome aswell.

So yeah any advice on position and length would be great. Looking to buy today so I'm sure I get it in time for Saturday.

I would highly recommend the Akasa stips. Bright, cheap and great colour :)

EDIT - I have the 30 cm ones in my Parvum S2, perfect length and would see this or the 60cm being ideal in an ATX Case.

Thanks for the recommendation the case is about 50cm wide and 50cm tall so I was thinking something like this.

Black part being the case and the colours being where I think would be best to position the strips. Let me know what you guys think going to order later today.

Hi Fallen,

I have just created a similar build for a friend. 450d, Red and black theme. I put 1 15cm asaka white strip and had two corsair led fans for the front. When I am home I will upload the piccys for you to have a look

NZXT do some nice LEDs. They come with a nifty little PCI bracket which allows you to control the brightness (and turn them off completely). Useful if, like me, you can never make up your mind as to how you want your case to look...

Oh wow thanks for the lovely photos Hoodleader, seem you went with a similar idea to what I have planned, being a white strip in the corner.

I brought 2x 30CM asaka strips 1 white and 1 red.

Yer he loves it :).

Good thing about the asaka strips is they can daisy chain. Also they are bright, I have a nzxt stip in my case, its good and does the job cause I can turn it off when I want but the asaka beats it for brightness.

I'm building my Corsair 450D next week. I bought the Corsair Link Lighting Node. I've seen what corsair did with a 450D with the lighting node and though it looked amazing. I've also used the NZXT Hue LED lighting and that's awesome too, but it also has a 5.25 front controller to change the lights colours
