Gigabyte Z97MX vs Asus VII Gene

Im debating which motherboard to purchase...but they both seem roughly on par. Anyone got any opinions on either board?

8pack said the Gene clocks best for the MATX boards, but it costs more, the Gaming 5 has a longer warranty.

I see, are there any comparisons for what the on-board audio is like?

Pretty sure they both have the same Realtek 1150 audio chip, the gaming board does have the OP-AMP upgradable feature though.

Hi stulid, did he test the gigabyte yet ? hopefully someone will make a review soon for the Z97MX.

as for gigabyte's warranty it's also uk based & i've heard only good things about their RMA process.

Hmm, I have owned both brands of motherboards and both have been great. I just have to move to DC, the heat from my SB-E processor is too much :rolleyes:
