For my first custom loop build I am considering using 19\13mm tubing for aesthetic reasons. Are there any issues, such as bend radius or fitting compatibility issues with this size tubing?

I've heard 3/8 / 5/8 is the best all-round tubing. Well, over at overclock.net, anyway. Why do you think the chunkier tubing looks better?

As long as ID is over 1/4", which is the case for all tubing sold today, it wont have affects on performance. 19/13 tubing has the thickest walls and so kinks less but is less flexible, so tight loops will require excess tubing.

Fitting wise, you only need to match it up to the same size compressions, so 19/13 tubing fits 19/13 compressions.

Another fan of 16/11 tubing here.

Be careful with some of the larger fittings, they can be too wide for some CPU blocks.

Thanks, this is exactly what I wanted to know. If the very largest sizecan have some fitting compatibility issues then 16/11 might be the best compromise.

What blocks?

I am pretty sure EK supremacy CPU is fine with largest fittings but i know the older style universal GPU blocks cant fit them but the new ones coming in now, can.

Funnily enough I am going to be using the EK Supremacy CPU block and GPU wise it will be a couple of the Aqua Computer Kryographics blocks. Do you think I will have any problems with those?

I am using 10/13 Primochill.
Its actually a little under 10mm and it makes it a bit hard to attach to fittings, but I dip the tube end in a glass of warm water for 10 seconds and then its easy.
I am using EK fittings mostly and they work very well.
The dowside of thin tubing is that it's easy to make kinks so use of angled fittings is neccesary.
But I prefer this over 10/16 which I used before.
