So I’ve recently taken this phone out on contract. I’ve taken out insurance on it as I’m going to Benidorm Saturday!

Question is, if I jump in the pool and start taking photo’s and videos will it still work? Are these meant to work under water for long periods of time or more a short term protection?

/Waits for just jump in and try ….. I’m more than willing to do this, but if someone here has already tried it and failed, could do with the heads up.

I believe it's rated up to 1.5 meters for 30 mins.

Also the touchscreen doesn't work underwater. So you'll need to use the camera button or start recording before you go underwater.

Not tested mine underwater.

The thought of my phone having a faint smell of stale beer would definitely put me off ever doing this, although I suppose you could rinse it after.

Exactly!! I watched a video of someone dropping it beer then running it under the tap... In my case I shall be water bombing the pool ....

Note taken on the point about keeping the flaps covered... Just one question are we still talking about phones?

Well I woke up this morning wondering what happened over the weekend! But what I can gather is that it works great under water for pictures... But once you start recording and put it under water is auto stops recording
