Filming in your area?

BBC News once did a live broadcast right outside my house. It was weird watching the reporter out the window and on TV at the same time. The delay was about 5-10 seconds.

I'm not really the star-struck type. Now if Yolandi Vi$$er wanted to film a video on my street I suppose I would be all over it.

Remember I told you about my other old boss, the porn baron chap, he had a naughty film recorded in his house. Initially he turned them down because his wife wasn't happy about it, but then when they said they'd paid, she allowed it. Apparently, a few months after filming one of his friends came round and said "hmmm I've seen this place in a film before..."

Nice :)

I've seen that couch somewhere before....

Has anyone else been privileged to witness a film being shot in their local area?
Privileged??? Totally disrupted more like.

A few scenes for Waterloo Road were filmed in the flat across the landing from mine. Sum total of about 5 minutes worth. For that the production company took over half the street on six (yes SIX) separate days. I tried to go out one day they were here only to find my front door blocked by the camera!

Took several frank and open phone calls over a couple of weeks to get them to come back and repaint the close after they pulled the paint off gaffa taping cables to the walls.

Dr Who has filmed on my street a few times.
Whilst its great for fans, it can get irritating for those that live here.
Yep, that's the joy of TV and film crews, they think they've got some god given right of exclusive access to places just "because it's for TV".

Filming 'Ripper Street' in our town last week, met Jerome Flynn at a local hotel while I was there.

TBF if it's a car chase sequence then it'll be stunt doubles doing the scene so Fassbender might not even be anywhere near

Filming is happening on the Avon valley railway right now - dunno what film or programme though. I was stopped on the path tonight so shots of the train weren't disturbed by cyclists.

There were quite a few 30s cars parked out the front of Shoreham airport this morning as I passed by on the train, and there's been a Dakota parked on the airfield all week. I thought is was a D-Day get together of some sort.

Passing on the way home this evening there's a full film crew, fog machine, scores of 'trailers' and Nazi flags flying. Turns out its Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds filming Woman in Gold. The airport building is a really nicely kept Art Deco piece so it probably doubles well for 30/40s Germany.

It's a regular occurrence here in the middle of Cambridge...

Same here for the same reasons. We had them filming "Testament of Youth" here the other week. Starring Kit Harington, Hayley Atwell, and Emily Watson. Was a bit surprising doing my usual route to work and coming across this:

I used to live in South Ken too, lots of filming there.

Parts of game of thrones has been filmed round where i live, a show ive yet to watch tbh.

A mate of mine built some of the sets for the first series at the old paint sheds at the docks and several metal friends have been extras in it since one of the stipulations of the type of extra they were looking for was "long hair and beards".

I take it being up round Armoy it's the Dark Hedges they were filming around?

They filmed Peaky Blinders near me a few months back. Had one day of filming, the big studio light shone through my living room though and lit the place up.

The second season of Broadchurch is currently being filmed in Clevedon, spotted the crew setting up the newspaper office a couple of days ago. Recently One Direction shot their new music video on the pier and before that some scenes for the film Let Me Go were filmed here.
