Im fed up with having to replace the screen protector on S4 on a monthly basis.

Are there any that dont get scratched and show up loads of marks after a few days?

Cheers

One of the tempered glass ones? Or just leave your screen bare, I've not managed a single scratch on my S3, S4 or N5.

Is the S4 screen that scratch prone?

I use to get cheap screen protector for the Lumia 800 till I got frustrated with the marks. Went without it for 6 months, only a couple of hairline scratches. Since I got my Lumia 920, never had a screen protector on. 19 months in, still no scratches.

I'm assuming the S4 could at least withstand that much as they're also Corning Gorilla Glass.

^^ as he says. Would not use a plastic one again. I have tempered glass one on my Moto X. I have some light scratches on it but I can peel it off when it gets too bad and replace. I know the latest gorilla glass screens are not supposed to scratch but I find grit for one will.

I bet if you hold it in the sun you will notice tiny micro scratches.

I'm not someone who goes looking for issues. If I don't notice them in my normal usage I'm not going to go hunting for them, saying that I've just held my N5 up to the light and there's nothing.

I never used the cheap plastic ones always used the Zagg Invisibleshield style ones, Although I have heard good things about the tempered glass ones.

Stop getting cheap screen protectors then and get good quality ones like Bodyguardz or Invisible Shields. The £2 jobbies that virtually everyone seems to get from the local newsagent are hardly going to cut it now are they? I always see people saying screen protectors are rubbish yet these very people skimp out on them and buy cheap ones.

I used to use them on all my idevices and mp3 players but then stopped a few years ago. The quality of the glass screens used on phones meant that I could go nekkid and not really worry about it and that's coming from a machine shop engineer so suffice to say my devices get treated badly and are yet pristine.

I've personally gone through an iPhone 4, Galaxy S3 (useless screen anyway) and am on an Oppo Find 5. All of these have near perfect screens that I can see.

Look for fonem8 protectors from the auction site, had one on my nexus since release day and not a single mark! other ones i was replacing monthly like yourself.

I got a tempered glass protector off amazon and its been great, so much so that I got one for my parents and gf. Feels like glass and not crappy plastic, applies super easy and is perfect, and so far no scratches.

Sounds good, which brand did you get?

Get a Spigen Glass screen protector, they are not cheap at around £30 but I'd rate them as the best on the market.
I only wish I'd had one on my M7 when I dropped it.

Have you tested the cheaper ones? 30quid is too rich for one imo.

I'm using a Brando 0.2mm rounded edge tempered glass protector and it's fantastic. The screen feels like a high quality glass screen, you can't tell it's not part of the phone and it's anti scratch with oleophobic coating.

Well worth 16 quid.

skinmoi the only one I like so far. Never used to use them and always scratched the screens, when I got the 1320, thought I would give an expensive one a go and love it. Nice soft feel, use liquid to apply so it easy to line up. Sticks to the screen so edges don't peel. It does dent though which might put some people off. The feel off it alone is worth it imo.
Not sure if I need it as I haven't had gorilla glass 3 before.

I use one called 'screen guard' made by a company known as Membrane. Got a pack of 6 for a few quid on eBay at the start of last year and they are fantastic. In fact I'm still using the same one I applied and you cannot even see it on my phone! Well worth checking out.
