What did you do to your bike today?

Well today I changed my brake fluid pipe which was only replaced a little while ago, it wasn't up to the job and was starting to sweat oil and I don't particularly want brake fluid anywhere near my paintwork. Hopefully this hose will be up to the job, it's PTFE inside so should be okay. I bled the calipper and put the rear wheel back on. Re-did the static timing only to then start it and only get one cyclinder running. Turns out one spark plug has broken down inside (100kOhm rather than an open circuit) it had been playing up recently, it would lose half the noise and then bang a few times then go back to normal :p Hopefully find a replacement tomorrow and the old bonnie should be in the best condition it's ever been in :D

Think I've finally hit the sweet spot with my suspension, Took it out for a couple of hours then came back & made some adjustments then went out for another couple of hours, Overall I have stiffened the front then stiffened the rear but the rear was to hard & skipped a bit over bumps when pushing on, Dialled it back a tad & it now feels bang on.

Got all the rear end off mine serviced the rear linkage with new bearings, swingarm painted. At the mo I'm servicing the rear caliper. Then it's back together with the new nitron shock

Dropped in a new air filter. K&N KA6005. SHould be the last air filter I buy for this bike!

Also replaced the duct tape covering the hole in the tail section for some less weathered tape.

Now shopping for a full fairing set!

Changed the sidelights to LED's. Much brighter and look way better, for the fee of £3.56 and about 5 minutes of my time. Will eventually change the main lights at some point possibly.

Fuel exhaust should be arriving tomorrow :)

Using a QS will wear the selector forks quicker than not, especially using a cheap one. People complain about the price of an HM but then how much is it to strip a gearbox (if its not a cartridge) ?

My bikes built purely for racing so doesnt get much sympathy in gear changes but the HM is a good bit of kit. Upside down gearbox means its good and easy to kick through the box too :-)

Hadn't started the bike for a week - but it started first time, got about 1 minute off the drive and it lost power and cut out, hit the ignition and it didn't even attempt to start, starter made no noise, nothing.
Still had lights/electrics/dash lit up etc..

Left it for a couple of minutes, started up fine and rode off to work.. Da fuq?

I'll be scrapping it to get a GSXR at this rate :D

Stuck a new slip-on exhaust on the GSX650F.

I was going to go for the Mivv Oval (as recommended by Rossi~) but I was looking at 4 weeks for delivery. I called Blue Flame and they were able to make the below at a shorter 300mm length than their standard for no additional cost so I went with that. Took 4 working days for delivery and was over £100 cheaper than the Mivv, really pleased with it.

Quite an improvement on the old one which had rusted to hell! Started attempting to unbolt it and the retaining clip just snapped!

Video comparison of the stock exhaust with the new one, camera didn't capture the sound that well but one hell of a difference.

I love the sound of my V4 through my can it's the sex. :p

I hope like me you see it as your Duty to spread such a lovely sound around the World. :D

Ahh, I long for a decent exhaust note. It's a pleasure when I get the opportunity to filter through traffic behind a bike bike with a decent exhaust, it's like the parting of the seas :D

Followed a nice CBR (might have been an early fireblade, or a 600, the person riding it looked tiny!) with what i think was an akra, needless to say it was the easiest 500 yards of filtering I've done for a while...:(

Loud cans are a must imo, A little blap of the throttle & car driver knows you are there.

Yep, 125's tend to be a bit more invisible unfortunately. I blip the throttle when filtering a little, but it's probably doing nothing. Was following a car to work the other day which had both brake lights out, they only had the high level brake light working. Doing my good deed for the day, I pulled up alongside at a traffic queue (I'd been behind this car for a good mile or more), tapped on the window and the women driving must have jumped about 5ft in the air from the shock of someone tapping on her window.:o

I don't think she knew I was there, or had even seen me in her mirrors at all.
