I'm looking forward to this picture/bike comming back as "not stolen" then we can all laugh at the sheer amounts of jealousy displayed by certain forum members.

A real bargin, sell it somewhere "specialised" and profit!

Showed me the receipt! Middle aged fat dude :p

Did the fact an old fat dude was selling a three grand racing bike not set of any warning lights? O.o the police/courts do apply "would a reasonable man have known it was stolen" logic when choosing if to prosecute for handling of stolen goods you know...

Ha you funny.

You should come to Switzerland, there are lots of middle aged fat dudes, most of which earn more in a month than you do in a year. ;)

I've got the cuffs ready though. Hands bound and awaiting my sentencing. Bit of slap and tickle inside... can't wait.

maybe thats where some money was saved ;)

I stuck it on, clearly. I tried to tipex over it, but it just wasn't all that effective.

yea but does it have ultegra groupset? probably not and it doesn't have the carbon rimmed wheelset that costs 1200 or so

t100 pro circus wheels

Would have thought the serial number would be stamped/engraved rather than on a sticker?!

maybe they don't engrave/stamp carbon fibre for good reason ;)

still seems suspect to me as one of those wheels is worth more than you paid easily but you do see middle aged fat guys on stupidly expensive TT bikes and it wouldn't surprise me if some are rich enough not to really care about getting their money back but it seems insane what he sold it for, the crank is probably worth what you paid for the bike

A mate at work used to compete riding and said the same about the crank!

The local facebook sales group has over 3k members and is highly used as Basel is one of those places people often will pack up an leave to the US or similar/ vice versa and sell everything. I just linger on FB and nabbed it as soon as he posted.
He said when I bought it he wished he'd put it up for more now as he could have sold it at least 50 times over with the messages he got, but he had made me a deal so didn't want to break that.
And I'm certainly glad of that.

The underwater housing, epic! :D

Can't wait to see some pics. :)

I'm going to based in the red sea from July 10-27 and doing a UW photo training with a friend of mine along with some experiments, going to be giving UW Infrared sots a go :) along with a mixture of underwater long exposures and learning how to use the damn thing. I'm also going to attempt to grow gills to make things a bit easier :p

Expect a thread in the correct subsection :)

Theres a humorous cycling quote
My biggest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my bicycles for what I told her they cost.
I think he is going senile and he asked his wife what he bought it for

Heres some more pics of my new bike
I posted a photo in here from the showroom when I ordered it but I only just picked it up on Tuesday so here's some more now it's actually in my hands

Kinda ugly but you wouldn't see me selling it for £266 lol

11kg according to my scales with my garmin/lights/pump/water bottle and heavier more puncture resistant tyres than it came with so must be about 10kg at stock but the only carbon is the fork so I guess it's pretty light for aluminium.

you ridley dean should be about 8kg ;)

Ah with our soon due baby, I really want to get a decent camera. I'll no doubt annoy the hell out of everyone, but there is something so special about capturing decent pictures compared to useless facebook-type camera phone shots.

As long as you don't post them here all the time. :D I'm still reasonably young so I don't have baby pictures clogging up my news feed yet, but I'm sure it will happen eventually.

Get a mirrorless camera!

Compact, cheaper than an SLR. SLR quality photos, lightweight, easy to carry around for baby shots.

Check out the M4/3s thread in the photo section :)
