Very impressed, product feels well made, comes with everything you need although I will be stocking some slightly nicer looking Jack and USB cables for appearances as I personally see it as a desktop ornament and would rather a nice braided cable out the back than the one it comes with.

I will probably see if I can stock some of Pexon PCS usb cables

First impressions here are it's nice device, definitely better than the USB sound card options we have but of course more expensive too.

I will take it home this weekend and spend some time listening to my music via it. Aswell as testing the STX II

I have been mulling over getting one of these as the product itself is superb but for a proper desktop setup, why have they put the input on the front?

I was just thinking exactly the same!

Well I know why, I just wish they had another variant with it on the back. It has been designed as a portable amp for your pocket.

I am using a Topping NX1 on my desktop at the moment and it has the same thing. It annoys me a little but the Topping costs peanuts compared to the EHP-02 so I live with it.

They are doing a new version with RCA on the back, not sure about the jack input i will have to wait and see.

It's for USB too remember the Input on the fron is for ipods or phones not your PC. You would use USB for that.

New variant is coming soon we will be launching the range when the new variant is available (EPH hopes to ship the New version in June). I even said that the newer version would suit our customers better this is purely for me to understand the product a bit better and get a feel for it all.

We also hope to have some headphones in stock by then too.

This is a portable headphone amp, it's not a replacement for a sound card.

That would be the combined DAC/AMP.

This is the same product as a topping nx1 or fiio e11/12, etc.

If you wanted to test against a soundcard you should have bought the DAC/AMP.

This is the EHP-O2D i was under the impression it's the full DAC/AMP combo. I will double check but that is the paper work I got with it as I didn't pay for it so can't confirm by how much it cost.

ahhhhhh ok, your fine then.

it was the above post that made me thing it was just the portable amp version.

I would love to get one of these but I also want a hi-fi amp, so the NAD D 3020 kills 2 birds with one stone.

I wish they made a headphone/hi-fi all in one version.

I know the O2Di will have RCA on the back for an amplifier which is pretty neat Hopefully it will have the power on the back too that would be ace.

Oliver at Epiphany has been fantastic to deal with he's having some problems getting the metal manufactured at the moment. As soon as I have some info I will share it.

I'm sure a full amp, is something they may look at in the future not quite as easy as these little things though.

I should be receiving the Silverstone EB03 and EB01-E in the next few days aswell Since we actually stock them but have nothing to promote or compare them too. I would like to get them reviewed and compare them with a few things.

Silverstone is a supported brand by the Caseking group so we stock everything they do including their rather expensive DAC and AMP

Great news! This can be used with active monitors!

Have fun testing it this weekend, you might want to try it against a couple of the other popular sound cards while you're at it. Side by side testing is harder than you'd think (so I am finding out) as you tend to forget the sound of the first source by the time you switch to the second. :D
I was thinking about getting an O2Di but patience has never been one of my virtues so I got an Aune T1 tube DAC/Amp instead.

I have a Fostex HP-A4 being delivered which I'll use for home or work, at some point I'll get the 02Di as well to compare.

If you say so. You can't really match the EPH-O2 against the STX anyway because it's just an amp, so you would need a separate DAC too. If you mean the O2D then I think the differences would be quite subtle because they both have very good and transparent DAC's and so any differences would be in the amps and the STX is surprisingly good, though the O2 amp should be a little bit smoother.

Yeah I can imagine I don't' have the big kit of some of these reviewers to compare stuff but for my own personal understanding it will be good to compare.

From reading STX II reviews it seems to be doing pretty well.

I will hopefully be sending the silverstone dAC/Amp and the EPH-O2Di when it lands to some reviewers if they agrees to do a couple of reviews for us.
