Hi guys,

TB have this Headset listed as compatible with the One so not sure where the issue lies.
I have the £60 Microsoft official headset that I find great for sound but the microphone is woeful, I need to shout for it to recognise sound. Really frustrating, especially at nights.

I have an old X41 headset that I hadn't used since the 360 days so hooked it up, I bought a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor and used the official adaptor that came with the MS headset. The thing won't recognise microphone sound, now I either have a buggered 2.5mm-3.5mm adaptor or something else could be wrong?

I have updated my controller, not sure what else I could try to diagnose where the issue lies? I've tried another controller and adaptor etc.

You sure the convertor is compatible - how many rings does the jack plug have? Should have 3 IIRC - if it doesnt thats the problem, if it does then look into what standard the XO uses (either OMTP or CTIA) as you might not have the right one...

Im assuming the headset mic has never worked with the convertor you are using, so rather than it being broken it might be incompatible

ps3ud0

You are indeed the winner here mate. The adaptor was wrong, had 2 black rings instead of three. :)
