Silver coins turning brown

Hi, my Grandmother has finally completed her collection of 'The Queens Diamond Jubilee' Silver coin collection from the Royal Mint.
The last few she has received are all fine, but the first ones she got have started turning a brownish colour. Now I realise her collection might be valuable someday, so not too sure what I can do to clean/stop the browning (tarnishing?) process. Would it be better to consult a professional coin cleaner (We're not in London, we're in Cornwall, so not really worried about being scammed), or is there a simple household solution? Like I say, it's worth well over £1000 so I wouldn't want to be responsible for wrecking the coins.
Cheers for the help

Patina adds value, if you clean it off, other than looking shiny your actually reducing the value

don't see patina adding value to a "The Queens Diamond Jubilee silver coin collection" somehow since each coin likely has it's own protective case etc and are meant to look new surely.
, it's not like it's some 1930s coin that entered circulation via a bank

don't see them ever going up in value though like the rest of the modern collectables that are designed to be rare lol...

Plonk them in a small glass of coke for a short time, not too long mind, else they might vanish altogether. ;)

Cant argue against that but you never really can tell what 20-30 years can do so why clean off a chance of them actually gaining value.

A nugget of information: Silver tarnishes on exposure to sulphur in the atmosphere, apparently this is a fairly recent thing as prior to the industrial revolution silver would not usually tarnish for a very long time. Or so I have read :)

Appreciate the help guys, thanks very much. Seen that it was a limited collection of 17000 so not a very rare collection at all. But she wants em shiny, so I guess im gonna be cleaning em somehow
