With Watchdogs Vram is the least of there worries. It's going to be interesting to see what is required to run this game at 4k.
NVIDIA MAXWELL!!
or not

I suppose, but if Nvidia had stronger branding already,it would be AMD trying to displace that from people's memory.
Personally,I think the consoles might be able to help AMD in the PR stakes more,if they sell that angle properly.

Probably them trying to play catch up
I don't see what advertising them being in consoles will do, when PC gaming is supposed to offer you a better gaming experience over console anyway![]()
Isn't most the discreet market done with prebuilt computers and not how we buy them?

Millions of people will use consoles, and if they work fine,it will only make AMD look a strong brand for gaming, especially if big companies like MS and Sony are fully behind using AMD graphics hardware. It will indicate that both AMD hardware and software is good enough.
Plus I still think the changeover from ATI to AMD graphics branding was not a good idea. It lead to a break in continuity which the Geforce branding did not. Its surprising how many people did not realise,ATI and AMD are the same company now.

Most sites I have checked lets you spec your machine but a lot of people still deal with the men in purple shirts. My daughters man worked in there for years yet hes pretty clueless on pc hardware.
The change from ATI to AMD wasn't a bad thing, a rebrand can work...if the name you're changing to wasn't already dying lol. Having the graphics cards attached to poor performing CPUs really doesn't help
That's me though
Not been in the shops in a very very long time, no idea what spec computers they sell. Probably deal more in tablets though, as that's what people want currently. Doubt they do any towers, laptops probably?
Ouch...his poor GTX670 is most likely running at no faster than a 9600GT~9800GTSame guy is now rocking a Nvidia gtx670 on one of the first amd dual core cpus. Cant get him to listen after all hismistakes in buying hardware. He did make a decent choice in card mind you but the rest of his machine is not up to the task.

Here you go. and this is the reference one which throttles.

Now if you don't OC then sure. However I'm not sure that's such a great argument considering the name of this forum.

Years ago, not currently.
AMD's gaming brand has been everywhere, you just have to look at some of these signatures....(Tommy's changes, but still) to get an idea on what they've been doing. Very strong, very clear. AMD is for gaming.

I was talking about Journalists who write articles not fanboys. Getting value for your money ain't a bad thing especially when its as good as the competition. All Nvidia hold over AMD these days is a brand name. They both have different features ie AMD have Mantle and True Audio and Nvidia have Physx and Gameworks. I don't see Nvidia being worth there premium even if at some points over the years they might well have been.
I don't get how anyone with common sense can agree with what MMJ_UK said. Well maybe Lambchop but his signature says it all. The funny thing is this is a Watchdogs thread and the majority of people having the best experience are using Amd in there Ps4 and Xboxone which in some PC owners eye's is like being on the dole when it comes to gaming.

I still want to see Nvidia saying the Titan will not be beaten on 28nm![]()

I still want to see Humbug beat me![]()

Jeez that was 37 pages and most was just guff or Greg ducking and diving.

He wouldn't, even if he had a faster R9 290 because of his CPU, so it's merely an argument of semantics at the moment.
Not that I think stock versus stock an R9 290 beats a Titan, I think an R9 290X reaches parity with the Titan (Wins on both sides, depending on the games), stock versus stock, but that's about it.
And I know for a fact my R9 290 wouldn't best your Titan![]()
