LG's colour calibration looks well off.

Add that to the average contrast and off-axis contrast shift, it's a very average screen apart from the added sharpness (which is not much).

I'm not impressed. S5 screen would stomp on this.
 
Quite possibly I will be keeping my phone longer too.
Come on LG. You make panels for all sorts of applications. Yet your own phone you put a dud in.. Should have put more resources into quality rather than pixel count

Might have this phone forever!
Z3 is a while away as yet

Yeah, its very apparent next too the One M8. S5 is still the power house and a lovely display, sadly the rest of the phone is uninspired.
 
I think I was just expecting it to be a bit more than it turned out to be. My fault really, bought into the hype too much.

I was expecting the screen/battery to be a bit better than they are. They're still good, no doubt about that, but I guess I was expecting something a bit more impressive. Also I wanted the S805 in there to make help justify moving from my Nexus 5.

I may well still end up purchasing one, but I think I'll have to have a more thorough hands on with one, and hopefully find out what/if Samsung are actually doing with this elusive "prime".

Tbh I haven't touched it. But iwill have to do something if I'm keeping it

If g3 only had a better screen...
 
How on earth has everyone dismissed this phone based on the screen when no one has seen it in real life? A youtube review and one screenshotted chart of 'sunlight contrast ratio' mean nothing compared to seeing it with your own eyes.

And for colour accuracy, does that not vary from individual device?
 
battery life is supposed to be amazing on this phone. i like the look of this phone but think i will wait and see what/if the nexus 6 comes to fruition.

I'm going to go try it out for sure but I'm no longer pre ordering

It will be the comparison to my current phone that is the test
No specs of any kind will make me take a step back in screen quality!
