Dealt a bad hand.

This forum confuses the hell out of me

you are banned for a week for bumping a for sale thread, yet the second post in this thread gets off with their post deleted

So firstly - I removed the post and felt that was all that was necessary based upon previous history.

You however, weren't banned for a week, for bumping a for sale thread. You were suspended for 5 days, for the 2nd MM strike. Please read the rules.

And to Energize the same applies, the post was removed, poster apologies and realised their mistake, matter over.

The MM rules are explicit, you break them you get suspended, after enough suspensions you get banned from MM.

Wait till your bed ridden for 18 months and taking suboxone+ others. But I woke up this morning so a great start :)

well dont listen to what the negativity in your mind is saying,no one wil even care if your in a wheelchair,do not think like all eyes are on you as thats not the case..

If walking causes the replacement to wear down fast, than surely the obvious alternative is to use a wheelchair? The pain and medication seems to be having by far the largest effect on quality of life, not lack of walking.

Probly more complicated but if it was as simple as constant pain vs using a wheelchair for mobility 90% of the time... I'd get in the wheelchair and move into single floor accommodation.

I thought that the OP was already in a wheel chair  Hence why I suggested going out for a stroll :p

if you ain't, then that is the first thing you should do. You will reduce the pain a lot, and I think it will increase your quality of life. You lose your feet (not rally, kinda) but that is a small price to pay to remove the pain (and some medication maybe).

First off MrsSeabiscuit apologised for being rude so I think ppl should lay off her.

OP it is of course easy for me to say this as I have not had to go through what you have but I believe like some other thread posters it's about perspective. I find Alan Watts puts things in perspective for me.

Given your history, you'll be lucky you're not permabanned even if you do apoligise ;)

:D

If you are going to judge a person on one post in a rather considerable amount then how are you better. Lay off eh she apologised aint like she has ever done anything before. We all have our bad days and all have insensitive moments don't phrase things correctly. And I know I and plenty others on here have far more than Mrs Seabiscuit.

Theres a adults perthes group on Yahoo.
https://au.groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/adultperthessurvivors/info

There also another group on facebook, its primarily kids though, as perthes mainly effects kids initially, though most recover more or less. All the forums are very US based. The OP case seems to be one of the most severe I've heard of. But there may be people on those forums who can suggest coping mechanisms. Most doctors even surgeons don't seem to have heard of it. I only know about it because on of my kids has had it for the past 5yrs or so.
