Nvidia have been very quiet lately?

GTX790 is expected soon, GTX880 unsure but IIRC the place that does the chips is finished with what they were doing and ready for AMD/Nvidia now.

i doubt that nvidia will launch a 790, if they were planning on releasing only 1 bi-gpu this generation, then they dont have time to R&D for another bi-gpu, that would take what like 6 months ? what's the point of releasing a bi-gpu at the end of the year, with a new generation coming at Q1 of 2015, that would give them less than a quarter worth of sell.
it's not profitable, unless they started R&D way back and they are gonna release it before the end of summer, but i doubt it

They would be using the chips from the Titan Z/780Tis that don't make the grade and the PCB is already there. It wouldn't take very long at all to make and release a 790.

A member of OcUK staff, think it was bailey, said a week or so ago that the 790 "may be coming sooner than we think". This is highly indicative of an imminent, surprise GTX-790 launch.

Would 780 cores be better than the Titan Black ones if they can clock higher? For gaming benchmarks I mean.

The Z was disappointing against the 295X2 for gaming.

Let's hope that if a 790 does appear it has more than 3gb's of ram per chip. If not it's just another failure.

I'll call it - It will be here by the end of June

Only failure here is the fact you think you need 3GB ram on a graphics card.

Well, I returned my gigabyte 780ti for a refund after a bearing failed (got it months ago too) and although I loved the card, I don't think 3gb will cut it anymore?, not even 4gb. I think watch dogs shows (its a crap pc port) we are going to be needing double the norm vram now. Doesn't the new consoles have 5gb ddr5 dedicated completely to games, 3gb vram seems it's going to be obsolete on high end now.

I'l be honest, I'm just assuming and basing from what I've read, currently have a 5870 and I need a card, don't know if should get another 780ti or what now
