BMW and M Power Owners

Yeah, must be.

The 4 I did was the 435d X-Drive M-Sport SA with a half reasonable lick of extras. Was almost the same list price as my F11 though, so couldn't possibly justify it, lol.

I did notice the complete lack of x-drive with the 435i though. Trick missed?

Not much savings to be had on these either by the looks of it (the 2 series a little over £2k, 4 series £4k). Looks like my 5 series is cheaper now than when I bought mine though. Could have now had the 535d in my ideal spec for the money I paid. D'oh...

Anything to look out for an E46 Coupe/Convertible? Been looking at 330ci's. Is the Auto-box any good?

There's loads of buying tips in this thread if you have a search back.

The auto box is good, but remember it's a slush box and set your expectations accordingly

How could you possibly move from an F11 like yours to the 4 Series? I think it would drive you mad, the difference between them both inside is huge. At least BMW have made a semi-effort to hide all the poorly finished bits of plastic in the F11, in the F32 it's all over the cabin :p

Ha ha ha. It wasn't as a replacement. It was in addition to. I have my student loan to be paid off later this year (hopefully), and that will free up enough of the monthly budget for a nice motor. So I was thinking about a nice S4, but thought I would spec up a 4 series too. Although I'd probably end up with a 3 touring if I'm honest. Although, again, with the 335i, no xdrive. So maybe would end up with Audi afterall.

As much as I HATE Audi diesels, I have always been a big Audi fan, so would be quite happy to run an Audi petrol. Although I think the 35i engine also makes sense. That said, would love a 550i Touring. But that would have to be second hand, and so finding the right spec, I'm sure, would be a nightmare.

Same post in Show Your Motors. :)

Finally picked up a manual E46 M3... Cost me £6.8k with 86k miles. Almost fully loaded bar the sunroof! Sat Nav, Harmon Kardon sound system (Didn't realise this included an Amp and small sub in the boot) Xenons etc. It's 2002, so not facelift however it has had LED rear clusters installed! It also lacks a strut brace, which I will be looking into purchasing in the next month or so (a solid one ofc!). Also, the paintwork is almost pristine.

Ignore my best mate, he was being a tit :)

The red one in the pictures is my old E46 325i that I've sold to my friend.

The previous owner removed the M3 tags from the side grills so I will be replacing those asap. I also can't decide between getting chrome grills back on there or keeping the fake carbon ones. I quite like the subtle look to it. It's got a horrible carbon bmw badge on the back that WILL be getting replaced however! It also has a Miltek backbox too, so it has a slightly throatier rasp to it.

It has a cream leather interior too, will get another pic up in a bit of the interior.

Impressions so far. Well... it's a whole different animal to my puny 325i... it feels insanely fast. I can't stop going outside and looking at her! It fills me with so much joy just cruising or flooring it, but also a reasonable bit of trepidation when I do floor it.

One more thing, over 100 miles I averaged 34.4 mpg sitting at 70 with a few hoons, which I must admit, I was thoroughly impressed with. I've since done another 100 or so and over the 200 it is down to 31.5, which even so it is still amazing considering the performance!

Yes its a M235i with a pretty heavy spec.

Speak to Tony Lewis (sales manager) at Cooper Tunbridge Wells if you want a really good quote. They're a sponsor on the babybmw.net forums and his prices are difficult to beat.

Tell him I referred you and then I get £100 to spend on M Performance accessories ;)

Already am as well as this ex demo one.

The white one with terra leather? It's a beauty as long as you tell him to get rid of the stripes on the bonnet :D

No a new one, that aw one with the brown leather is horrible...just trying to strike the balance between the wait, spec, costs on my current car and overall cost.

New turbos fitted and the car is running like a dream. Quiet and smooth, no more rattling and it feels quicker. :)

Must be a great time to buy and sell cars!

I put my 335i Msport up for sale at the weekend and I've had a deposit paid on it already, the rest pending waiting on the dvla sorting out the private plate retention and sending out a revised V5. Quite stunned at the number of calls and amount of interest in just a day!!

To me the interior feels fine. It has all the tech on it I want all the surfaces I come into contact with are good quality and the way it drives is superb. It's not up to the standard of my jag but then I didn't expect it to be as it's a car from a different segment/class.
