They are everywhere here, they appear to be anything but refined, watching them navigate intersections is quite funny as they roll around.

...one in the middle is a Rallye (Wiki Link), not something you see every day really. I was at VolksFest Bristol at the weekend (on the Mk2 Owner's stand), many other VWs there too but I was too lazy to take photos of them. Plenty of dune buggies, beetles, splittes, T4s (boring), T5s (boring) etc. and a couple of Karmann Ghias too - those were :cool:

Supercharged 4wd right? I also nearly bought a bright yellow 16v MK1.. hot hatches were so much cooler then.

Yeah, supercharged 1.8 with a bit over 160hp and 4wd, LHD too.

The price of them now is crazy and they are going up in price too (not too surprising given there were only 5000 made). The owner of that one imported it a few years ago and keeps being tempted by others too, like one for something like 15k Euro in Austria (which is cheap :eek:

). Seems they are costly £17.5k Rallye on CarandClassic

I'll stick with my 8v mk2 (middle one on the left) I think.
