B2 bombers deployed in UK

So Putin takes back a small country that has a majority of Russians in it anyway, I'm not particulary upset or worried by this.

Obama plays at brinkmanship using nuclear weapons, this I'm worried about.

Diplomacy is supposed to involve wearing the other guy down until it's easier to concede, diplomacy isn't publicly calling Putin a pussy and waving your nuclear arsenal in his face.

This idiot is going to get us all killed over a country I couldn't find on a map.

awesome photo! definitely a force to be reckoned with!

i've seen a B-52 fly over before, which was just jaw dropping, but never a B-2. i bet its even more jaw dropping!

all large bombers are pretty damn cool to be honest. the B-1 rockwell is another!

Why do we want planes like that here? we've no control on what they do or who they may bomb.

I have nothing to add, other than my father worked for Boeing, and was also working for Skunkworks. He used to have to go away all the time "on business" and wasn't able to tell us too many details. Then when this bad boy rolled out of the warehouse and the public got to see it for the first time, he said "That's why I've had to go away".

He also worked on the F-117 and F-22, back when it was called the Advanced Tactical Fighter.

Whilst I do appreciate these are magnificent feats of engineering, and extremely impressive aircraft, I do have to wonder whether "cool" is entirely the correct response to a) having nuclear capable bombers deployed here, and more importantly b) the circumstances which mean deploying them is seen as the right thing to do!

Although I guess a nuclear winter would be "cool" in a sense... :p

Just to clarify, the one I posted was the Taranis. It's a British built drone.
It's only meant to fly itself and kill it's own target....not drop nukes.

It's only meant to do a little bit of killing.

Bit like that film 'Stealth'.

You can't find Ukraine on a map? With all due respect, you're not exactly painting yourself as a person who we should be listening to here.

I think it's more worrying given the control it gives him greater control of Europes gas supply.

Obama plays at brinkmanship using nuclear weapons, this I'm worried about.
I would agree with this.

I don't know really know what to make of this statement. Ukraine is not a small country, and knowing where it is on a map is not hard. That said, why should you care where Ukraine is? Obviously you don't, but it strikes me as ignorance. But again, you probably don't care. Oh well.

I like the fact that Putin calls the "War Games" an act of agression, really, so it wasnt an act of agression that started all of this to start with then no?

Yes I realise "nuclear capable" doesn't mean they actually are equipped with nukes, but the fact it's actually mentioned implies it's a relevant point.

the fact it is mentioned is only there to induce the fear emotion. it stimulates the links in your brain about the a-bomb arms race of tester-years and thus makes the article SEEM more interesting than it is.

journalism lols.
