hi i just received my brand spanking new Asus 290x yesterday since i got it the pc has crashed several times with stop error 0xA000001
furmark wont run smooth it gets to about 1 min then starts jerking an stuttering temp gets to about 92c

3d mark wont run just crashes out after about 5 mins

i ran Vmt which found loads of memory errors

the pc was running just fine with my Asus 7970 matrix furmark was nice and smooth temp never got past 82c
3d mark ran fine

dont know what else to try

all latest drivers installed

You could try uninstalling drivers, cleaning in safe mode using either driver sweeper/ DDU and then re-installing drivers.

Sounds awfully like a hardware problem, but best to fully rule out software conflict first.

yea i tried doing that with DDU ,when i put the gfx card in it crashed out straight away so i uninstalled cleaned then reinstalled

My 290X also did this, I'm putting it down to the stupidly high temperatures, I ended up getting a refund and getting a 780 Ti as the temperatures were just insane.

Not the answer your looking for I know but just sharing my experiences with the 290X, It is a great card for gaming I just couldn't live with the temps, I found myself more often than not taking my side panel off to let the heat out and that was at stock :(
