What did you do to your bike today?

how much was your led bulb tefal? they seem pricey

need a decent bulb but cheapish

45 quid for the pair, the fans and the ballast (the whole kit)

cree h4 led headlight set off ebay

they are ludicrously bright even on normal and perfect white light.

man do people pull in instead of dawdling in the outside lane now on the motorway. :D

they can be a bit fiddly to fit as they have a little fan on the back.

I epoxied the balast bricks onto either side of the headlight unit.

I couldn't possibly link the the Pistonheads advert in the ZX6R section, that would be against the rules...

"It's got to be the lowest mileage, best condition ZX6R out there. You won't find a better one, I can guarantee that."

It most probably is, but can you Guarantee that? :D:p

I miss riding so much :(

I've been looking at other bikes, I'm tempted by a 899 and a cheap runner such as a Honda Hornet for commuting on.

But I don't know if I can afford 3 vehicles to run...

I should hear back today about my bike. Or tomorrow... So hopefully I hear how it's going to pan out.

It's a pain that if you're into biking, you kinda need 3..

Touring
Commuting
Sunday Fun

The only place to consolidate realistically is Touring and Commuting. a BMW GS will do both fine, but a little big for commuting really.

GSXR1000 is good for all three according to BVG :)

The Multi was perfect until it destroyed it's own gear box. Devilishly fast and glued to the road, comfortable, and easy to commute on. All thanks to the mode thingy.

3 as a minimum really.

Commuting
Touring
Weekend litre sportsbike
Naked
Retro

I already have my dream garage planned:

F800ST commuter
VFR tourer
RSV4 weekend
S1000R sport
Ducati Sport classic 1000 monoposto

edit: nearly forgot the track bike :p lets say a GSXR750

I think that would do me and cover most types of riding :D

I'm 99.99% certain I can.
I've always been meticulous with my cars and bikes to the point of OCD so I'm pretty certain that there won't be another in this condition unless it's never moved from the Kawasaki showroom.

Had enough of the ugly stock plastic number plate holder on the Street Triple, so bought an Evotech tail tidy. All very good quality metal. Fitted and much happier now! Also fitted the belly pan but waiting for the rain to stop before getting photos!

Next job is to replace the tank pad - the dealer fitted it far too high...

Ha yeah definitely need a different exhaust. Not a massive fan of the Arrow one and not much else about at the moment. Akrappvic say they don't plan on making one for the 2014 Street which I find a bit odd!

Fitted new front discs, chain and sprockets and all new wheel bearings and seals to the blade last night. Brakes are far nicer to use now, none of the god awful juddering every time you touch the lever. Interestingly the originals discs ran straight and true, the problem was caused by one of the dics having a low spot, i.e. it had become thinner at one part of the disc. It was only 0.11mm difference but was enough to violently shake the bike under hard braking.

FWIW I bought the discs from Zone products, UK made parts which are literally half the price of the OE parts. They appear to be very well made and work fine at the moment, but I guess only time will tell.

Kind of restores your faith in Car & Lorry drivers when they all flash you a warning about a Speed Camera round the corner.

Scamera on my fave road in this weather.

One tip I found online which helped me was that when you put the calipers back on, squeeze the brake before you tighten the bolts as there's a little movement when you locate them. This way they will be inline with your discs, I did it recently and it got rid of a little vibration I had when hard on the anchors. You may do this already but I found it helped me at least :)
