GTA V

I real struggle to believe any game is worth more than about £40 to be honest...

I paid £65 for Guild Wars 2 in April to play on launch in September 2012. I still play to this day so although I paid a lot (I could have paid less btw) I like to think I have got my moneys worth. That said I know I won't play GTA5 anywhere near as long so I agree. £40 is completely the top end I will go. Really £30 would be me satisfied.

I think it's the multiplayer/online element that allows people to get their moneys worth on a game. With Battlefield it's fairly easy because you rack up hundreds of hours, but I don't see the appeal of GTA online personally, so once I've finished the game it won't be played again.

Hope there is another first person mod

Some people are thinking it will be in by default, well for cars at least. With the moving accelerometer clearly visible in the recent trailer (to be able to judge speed whilst in cockpit-view), which is a little design choice that would be pointless in any other camera angle as you're barely able to see it, and the fact that Michaels hands are actually positioned on the steering wheel properly, it shows promised

Why?

I don't understand this point of view really. I used to think that £40.00 was a lot for a game, but then I actually thought about it.

I've not been able to put as many hours as I usually do in to Football Manager this year because of University, but have still racked up 550 hours until now.

That's 550 hours of entertainment for £40.00, explain to me how that is not amazing value for money?

I've easily played through Grand Theft Auto V three times, I paid ~£100~ (I can't actually remember) for the collectors edition, worth every penny considering how many hours of entertainment I have gotten from it.

Per hour of entertainment, £40.00 is huge value if it lasts even 20 hours, let alone 40, 80, or 100+.

No game is worth more then 25 quid, I think the max I have paid for any pre order was 22 (skyrim). You guys want to pay 40 that is fine but I know somewhere down the line it will be on offer for around 25 BEFORE it gets released.

I got burned by EA for BF4 whoch cost me around £80 but I still have nearly 400h in the game. Cracking value if you work it out.

I would pay £40 for GTAV but the best thing about being an Elite PC gamer is that pre order prices are generally cheaper than that. If I see it for around £25-30 I will buy it closer to the time.

you lot need to stop crying about the price of the game and just be thankful its actually being released on the pc ! you spend thousands on your gaming pc's, but whinge about 35-40 quid on a game?

it will provide hundreds of hours of entertainment. for me that is well worth the money. :D i have it on ps3, and i'll be re-buying it on ps4.

There is no way I'm paying more than 15 quid for a last gen game that came out a year ago

I'm sure Rock* are kicking themselves about that...

If we can get the game cheaper and still get hundreds of hours enjoyement why not. You pay £45 for the game, get no graphical options, no way to modify the game and play under 1080p.

We pay £25-£30 from online keygen sites, get 1080p +, ultra texture details and if it is anything like GTAIV moddable to make the game even more immersive.

We spend thousands on our rigs for this pleasure, we are allowed to moan. We are also English and enjoy a good whine.

I have absolute zero issue on paying £45 for this game, it's GTA V for goodness sake. This game has so much longevity in its MP.....whats £45 quid these days anyway, a very quiet night out at best...hell this game could potentially last me years and years, that' serious value for money. I'm still playing GTA IV today, how old is that game ;)

????

Cause I have no intention of wasting money when it will be cheaper...... Why would I pay £40 for something that will go to £25 or less over the next few months before it gets released? It is already been down to £28 on kinguin.

Indeed. I wont be paying any more than £25 for this.

The gameseek £25 + delivery offer has gone up to £36 now but I am sure it will be available to pre-order for less than £25 nearer the time.

You need to let people spend their own money how they see fit. I am sure you can spend as much money as you like on anything and I am pleased for you, but not everyone can.

It's like the people in the console section who seem really confused as to why people complain about exclusives and why everyone isn't buying both consoles if they want to play games.
