pixel boxes, AMD R9 270x

Firstly i'd like to thank overclockers community for the advice and help on my new computer and first build.

To the point, i got this computer a couple of months ago though the issue started within the 2nd week. When playing games or even sometimes on the desktop, i get really pixellated boxes. Some as small as 4 pixels and as big as 2cm square (26"TV). I'm only guessing it's the graphics card as it seems most logical. I've updated drivers and all that jazz, is there a solution or is it a card set to R.I.P soon?

"Pixels artifacts" usually happen when the GPU's core clock speed is not stable.

It could be because the voltage for the GPU is too low of maintain that core clock, or the PSU is not providing a stable enough power supply.

The easiest fix is probably "downclock" the core clock a little, or may be give the voltage a tiny bump (using software such as MSI Afterburner for example), and the problem should go away. However with the card artifacting at out of the box setting, you have rights to return the card as faulty...but do make sure it is not a PSU problem first. What PSU are you using for your system?

And don't worry it's not dying, it's just unstable.

That PSU should be more than fine for a 270x, so it should most likely be graphic card settings/voltage issue.

I've changed what you said and had a game running for an hour or 2, no more pixels, i upped the power limit by 2 and dropped the core clock by 100, no more pixel boxes so far, thank you for the help
