y u no ultra everything with sweetfx.....bro :p only a few things bring the fps down and it's the damn leveloution  it's like hard coded screen shake :p

looking at my 680's....they're fine for the time being but with all this nonsense from watchdogs of people running out of vram it has got me thinking whether companies are going to actually try and optimise their games more or is it a sign of things to come. "oh... there are are graphics cards with 6gb of ram.... lets just assume everyone has those" :p

really want the 34" LG monitor though.... but i want 120+Hz!!!!! and G-sync..... and more cpu cores..........uh oh... slippery spending slope xD

Ultra settings, 2xMSAA and 150% resolution scaling FTW and my cards don't even sweat hehe.. I spent good money for my eye candy, you lot might as well play on next gen consoles lol. Low pppfffff GTFO. Ultra doesn't seem to affect my scoring ;)

And Nexus, thats money well spent if I can topple you off the top of the scoreboards, now where do I sign ;)

I won't be getting that Asus monitor kiwi, just got the lg 29um65 which will do me for the next 2-3 years. I like the 21.9 aspect ratio too much as well so couldn't go back to 16.9/16.10 anyway.

The gsync/freesync thing does look really good though. Not a fan of the games built in vsync either.

Screen tearing is damn horrible though

Why would you want a monitor that only has 1080 vertical pixels??

Well you may want to go with AMD then. AMD were demoing freesync at computex however as far as I'm aware this was AMD specific. As freesync is part of a standard it is said that you may be able to get this as part of a driver update for AMD compatible cards. However the real question is if your monitor can run it.

Gsync does not work that way - so if you're not planning to upgrade your monitor any time soon then it may make sense to go with a 290X.

Ah cool!

Hope my monitor does support it then....

Still no despatch email for my MSI 290 so probably not be here till Monday :(

Harder to spot those wookies with everything on ultra/high! :p

And yeah wolfenstein and watch dogs are badly optimised :( Hope future games are better optimised......

Go on, pull the trigger on the LG one, you know you want to :D :p

Just imagine how much better you would be doing with everything except mesh set to low/of ;)

My nexus bot will be a more advanced version to make sure that doesn't happen! :p

Why wouldn't you? :p

I know there are a few out there that hate 1080P but personally I find it fine (same height as my 23" dell 1920x1080 16.9 monitor), main thing my PC is used for is gaming and films (largely why I went with a 21.9 aspect ratio monitor)

probably worse mate, your brain gets used to a certain look, feel etc I'm sure changing that will upset my rhythm

On a side not, just finished a round and noted my kill total, what a lovely whole number to end the round on lol

which is why I'm clearly the most skilled on here........... *cough*

:p

I would love the LG but as I said, so used to the super slippery smoothness of 120Hz that playing on 60 is instantly noticeable and offends me :( :p am tempted to sell my two monitors and splash out for a triple set up of 120+Hz, but would need to have decent colours and the benQ 120Hz I have seems washed out in comparison to my asus 60Hz. Badboy had an asus 27" 144Hz which had delicious colours if I remember correctly so maybe 3 of those xD

NO JAMES! STOP IT! STOP SPENDING ALL YOUR MONEY! YOU DON'T NEED TOO...........but you totally could....think of the peripheral vision...THINK OF IT! :p

^^ Really wishing this AOC 4K panel was 120Hz - the colors dump all over my 120Hz BenQ from a big height but no way can I go back to 60Hz for FPS gaming.

AFAIK only DP1.3 could support this. With that said you would have no hope of running BF4 at 120hz 4K with the current graphics technology.

Performance isn't too bad with a single 780 - aslong as I don't use any MSAA, quite easy to hit the VRAM limit even then on 3GB 780s though in BF4 let alone with MSAA.

Source? My understanding is that DisplayPort 1.3 has just been released and that there are no monitors available to the public that can do 4K @ 120hz. Only at 60hz.

Oh I thought you were meaning performance wise, its only a DP 1.2 panel, but performance isn't so bad that a theoretical 120Hz 4K panel would be a waste of time.

Pornhub had a refresh has it mate?

ZINGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p

but yeah, a 4k 120Hz would be the sex! I mean consoles are now getting 60Hz in more and more games.... can't sink back to that peasant standard :p

and can't run 4K at 120Hz? please, 2ez, fight me irl, my 2 680's would rinse it! .... (convinced myself they are the best in the world)

might just wait for triple 4K 144Hz set ups xD ..... and the Nvidia tesla farm required to render on it!! hahaa!!! :p
