To keep costs down I'd like to use the ram from my rig in my next build.

Devils Canyon CPU.
The ram is Corsair XMS3 1600 MHz DDR3. It is not listed in the Qualified Vendors List in the manual. Would it be ok? Would it slow the system down?
What has happened to ram prices. They are double what I paid for my present kit!
