Can the Quattro and Firepro cards be used for gaming as well as cad?

I don't know if NVidia have what you want from compute cards but if they do you could look at building a PC around some Titan Black editions, they can do both gaming and compute.

There was an article on toms hardware on this topic and testing showed very similar gaming performance between the workstation cards and the mainstream gaming equivalents.

value for money is in gaming cards, but i can't imagine a cad card worth its salt would be a shabby performer in games, certainly if your looking at the higher end

if you need a cad card get a cad card, then worry about games.

In a lot of cases the cards as fundamentally the same, the only difference is the driver quality and level of testing.
