Some fun games tonight, enjoyed myself greatly.

Think it would be good if we could try and split the vehicle users and infantry players into two separate squads as it can make life much easier, as we saw on the last round of Zavod. Nothing personal kicking you out of the squad, Nexus - just with you being in the jet for that round it made sense to let another 'on the ground' player in the squad for obvious reasons.

It's only casual public playing, but it's much more enjoyable when we have a squad all on the ground working together, rather than only 2 out of 5.

GG's last night, annoyed I stopped playing to watch that sack of ****e we call a national team though!

I am getting betterin jets now, managed to win 3/4 dog fights last night, realised where I was going wrong and fixed it, still have trouble with OP trees though.

In hindsight wndsr didn't have his "try hard panties in a bunch" he was just in a ptfo mood whereas I was in a loltroll mode.

Although I did have to laugh when he said "I hope your house burns down" and then we both said in sync "and your computer is inside" - them feels doe. Much love man

Will be on tonight, might even give Hardline another quick bash, was kinda fun although I had no idea what we were doing. Epic move blocking the vault, robbers couldn't get to it because there was no way in! Shut down A site for the whole game.

Hardline is rather fun with a group of friends on it, still don't think I will buy it though, unless it is like £10....... so easy to do well in though.

It was the easiest of changes too, forgot about mavity when in jets, I was going vertical and pressing S to slow down, where as you need speed to go up, so I wasn't turning as quickly and if the other plane was behind me I was going so slow it was an easy kill.

Dog fighting in 3rd person is much easier with both jets tbh, going for ground targets is easier in 1st person.

Speed control is much better. Makes a change me stealing your kills

I'd say Hardline would be worth £15 at base and no doubt they will have some form of "premium service" so £20 all in for that - no chance is it worth £40+.

Players seem so slow to react to you shooting at them, its odd. Looking forward to playing it without the stuttering mess that was the latest Nvidia drivers.

I will try 3rd person in jets again and see how I get on, it does look pretty damn cool shooting jets down in 3rd person view though!

An ultrawide screen is superb for jet gameplay too! Finding it a lot easier to keep track of jets when dog fighting.

Without a doubt there will be premium for hardline such a joke, I think considering all the problems with bf 4 that ea/dice should have given this game as a DLC pack for BF 4, kind of like vietnam for bc 2 (although they charged for that)

I am going to switch to mantle for hardline and see how my FPS are with it, tweaking some settings on my gpu atm as I think I should be getting better FPS (not just this game but other games)

The ballistic shield is cool, I like how it sits on your back and protects you, even from explosions


What on earth have you specced! Only thing left for me is CPU and mobo and some new speakers too (but not in any rush for them)

Ermmm,

i7 4790k, Z97 OC, another 8GB Ram, another 780 SC, a 144hz screen and a 750D.

Nothing much, it's dangerous though, I am actually looking at ways of raising the money for it all. Someone disable my bank account please.

Although I may drop the second 780, sell my 780 and get a 6GB 780Ti. In which case I would just get the i5 Devils Canyon CPU.

I just got this yesterday. Not sure what to think to be honest. That gun you start off with as an Engineer is pretty lame. It's a long grind for the MTAR lol

Maybe it's cos I'm stupid but I find that the customization for weapons not to be very intuitive and also why cant you choose what kind of server you want to play on ie Hardcore only. I liked how you could do this on BF3.

Also I am seeing a hell of a lot of empty servers for what I would have thought was a cutting edge game.

Normally I grind my way through the unlocks but I see you can buy them and I am tempted on account of not wanting to use crap guns for ages. Is this lame ? Being a BF2 veteran it seems to go against everything Battlefield once stood for as in BF2 when you eventually unlocked something it kind of meant something and was some kind of event. lol (never did get that Knife Badge lol)

Overall I am kind of enjoying it and am going to wait till ive played about 50 hours till i make up judgement.

You can, go into the servers page, hit the drop box box and tick the box that says "hardcore" then tick which maps you want, the on server slot click the one that says "between 5-10" spaces.

If not it will give you non hardcore servers that are empty.

Use carbines instead of the PDW's! MTAR is nice but I still prefer a good carbine like the ak5c, acwr over it.

Josh, Corsair 780t for the win when it releases in September, man this case is just pure sex. So glad I waited to upgrade my case now.

Prices on the 780tis will fall and apparently the 880ti 880 GTX are going to be very competitively priced (although I'll believe it when I see it). I'm certainly not hurrying at the moment. My cards are still super strong and will last me very easily till 880 surfaces. And still have my buyer for my 7950s who is more than happy to wait till I upgrade as he's seen my performance numbers in action.

Not a fan if that case Tony, the lines on it annoy me, I like boxy case, there are too many angles on it. 750 is just a full tower version of mine which is perfect. As for the 880GTX that will be around the price of a 780ti, if it has 6GB Vram it will be worth waiting for if not I'l go 780ti I think. Need a beast for GTAV!

Really want to see some numbers on the 8xx series cards. My 670 only really started to struggle in the past 6-9 months thanks to only having 2GB Ram. I have an i5 2500k @4.2ghz which is also still doing the business. Ideally it would be a complete overhaul but I usually do graphics card then mobo/CPU and carry over the card but will wait for the next Devils Canyon refresh. I only run 1080p.

Was playing yesterday with my new 4770k @ 4.6, ram at 2133 and dayum...I didn't notice it drop below 120 fps the entire time. If probably did but so impressed.

Ny old AMD kit was great p/p but this is sooo much better....let's just no discuss costs

Latest rumors suggest that the 880 won't surface until 2015.

Good shout on the Devils Canon but I would perfer the 4790. You may want to read this before you buy.

Good article Kiwi, the only reason I picked a DC Intel chip was because it was the newest, I'd be more than happy with a good 4770k tbh. Think I will keep my eyes on the MM soon, with the release of the DC chip there might be a few 4770k's about like Joe managed to get!
