I have long sung the praises of ShadowPlay and feel it is a very good addition to nVidia's software, so thought I would start a thread to let people show off their video's and share some tips and tricks.

I am currently uploading a vid of Hardline to youtube and this is recorded at 1600P and has come out very good. It will be done in about 7 hours (stupid slow internet) and I get owned in it but the program is so easy to use and with additions like - recording the previous 20 minutes of gameplay, what's not to like?

I have a seperate SSD that I use for recording and this seems much better than a mechanical drive for ultimate smoothness. Another thing I noticed was VLC showed the vids to be a stuttering mess and I was getting a little fed up but after some researching, someone said to use WMP to view and lmao....buttery smooth :D So if you have the same, it isn't the recording but VLC messing about.

Anyways, feel free to share your vids you have recorded and any hints or tips is most welcome :)
 
I'm a big fan of shadowplay and AMD could do with something similar in truth, regarding the stutter using vlc greg, I had it too and the latest version of vlc seems to have fixed it.

Ahhh cheers, I will have to grab that. I done some vids that were smooth in game but terrible in VLC and deleted them. I kept thinking it was a ShadowPlay bug :D
 
Shadow play needs multi audio device recording. Before its considered a go to must have capture.
Granted the recording works great, it's superb if playing alone.

Once you start recording with friends in say team speak good fun trying to not have there voice captured.

Dxtory on the other hand wins hands down.

ShdowPlay is part of nVidia's software package and is a great addition. Whilst you are entitled to your opinion, I couldn't disagree more but then again, you own AMD and I own nVidia, so a moot point really but the thread is ShadowPlay vids and ShadowPlay tips, so your point is pretty irrelevant :)

It's a recording tip ;) and I fully understand it's part of nvidia. Don't mean just because I use amd I can follow the progress of something nvidia.
I speak with big youtube guys every day so I understand what they like and don't like when it comes to shadow play.
And what's they not to agree with me about? You saying you wouldn't like the idea of recording from multi audio device? I guess you not been in the situation to understand how big a feature this is.

It's brilliant, nothing has come close to planetside for me, the sheer scale of the fights and 3 empire dynamic keep it so enjoyable. Have played since ps1 beta, 11 years and counting :)
