Is there a nightlife in Yate, Bristol?

Hello - i am going to Yate to visit my Dad this Saturday and venturing out with my step brother and some of his mates perhaps.

Is there a nightlife? I'm used to going out at all hours in London so i think i am spoilt for choice
 
Whatever you do make sure you always point out how much better London is compared to where you are. Always goes down well and the locals will be impressed by your worldly ways and what they can look forward to in a couple of decades time.
 
Nope, not a lot in Yate. There are a few pubs, but they're full of....well, people from Yate :p head into Bristol if you want nightlife.
 
There is the George in chipping sodbury which I don't think is far if memory serves me correctly. But it was a ****hole then (7years ago!) and is probably just as bad now :p
 
Yeah, just go into Bristol. I lived in Filton in 2000-1 and that's what I did. Probably all-change all-change now, but the venues I frequented back then were Creation, Café Blue, The Rock (large dance venues), then Lakota, Maze, Depot (small dance venues). The 2 large cheese venues were The Works and Evolution, and grab-a-granny night was the Horn & Trumpet lol.
 
There used to be... until someone got stabbed and died outside that club.

So no, not anymore, go to Bristol.

Not a night life that I'd recommend anyone wants to see :p
A couple of *ok* pubs in Sodbury Highstreet but that's about it. I survive here by going over mates houses! Given the choice I'd move to Bristol.

Harsh! But you're right, it's full of old people homes and chavs!
