Hi There,

I am currently looking to build a new pc for gaming with my 4K monitor. I was going to buy 3 Titan Blacks in SLI but have been reading and I'm now concerned that this might not be the best choice. I read that the GTX 780 TI might be better but I don't know if I am honest.

What is the best graphics card for my needs right now?

Thank you for your time.

Regards,

Serge

If money is no issue, then 3 (maybe even 4?) Titan Blacks would be great for 4K gaming, 780TIs currently have 3GB VRAM (although apparently 6GB versions are in the pipeline) which isn't enough if you want to max games out at 4K resolutions.

4k gaming best combination is probably 2-3 AMD R9 290s. They have more VRAM than the 780ti chips and cost a lot lot less. Anandtech bench puts them within 10% of a 780ti setup at 2k res - at 4k res they are actually faster in some cases.

290 or 290X, GTX 780 / Ti 6GB or Titan / Titan Black.

Unless under water 290X's in crossfire run hotter than the sun (Something to consider)

Titan Black SLI would be my preference, expensive but if money is no issue. Otherwise if money is a consideration maybe water cool a pair of R9 290's / 290X's?

Seen some interesting results with a 4 way 290x at 4k. Seemed to offer a decent gain over 3 and significant difference comparing 2 to 3 way.

I run 3x 290s at 4k and it runs nearly everything i throw at it.
