basically my original benqxl2420t monitor back light bleed had got worse over time and my warranty was nearly up i contacted benq and they swapped it for a supposed like for like monitor.

The first monitor they sent has parts missing from it and had even worse back light bleed and was not in a good condition.

The second monitor they sent was in terrible condition, had a scratch on the screen it had pads missing from under the base, scratch marks and scuff marks on the frame and base and it even had 2 5p coins stuck on the base of the monitor, plus really bad back light bleed,it was supposed to be my original monitor with a new panel thay said.

They sent me a refurbed doa monitor this time all seemed ok until i was using it at night when i noticed the back light bleed across the bottom middle it stretches across most of the screen and is worse than my original had it, when i tried to set up 3d vision I get to the part where it says 3d ready monitor found and click next some kind of black screen hides whats on the screen, because if i turn the monitor off and back on as it powers up you can briefly see the screen before it turns black again, sometimes you can make out through the black screen the 3d vision set up screen.

I have tried swapping dvi cables swapping usb ports for the emitor re installed win7,reset monitor, tried older nvidia drivers but to no avail it still does it.

I contacted benq about these issues they said the back light bleed is within the specs :confused: wtf! benq said it must be my equipment thats causing the black screen, but the previous refurb was working fine with 3d vision and nothing has changed on my set up since.

It's hard to capture it i think but its worse than it actually looks.

Whilst them exchanging for damaged goods is clearly not acceptable, the backlight bleed in the photos of the one you have now is actually not bad for this kind of monitor, in fact I'd consider it more than acceptable.

Below is an image of the XL2411T that I had, before OCUK replaced it. That is bad backlight bleed. What you have certainly doesn't appear to be.

P.S. That image is at 20 Brightness, to give you an idea of just how bad the bleed was. At 100 Brightness, almost the entire screen was light grey.
