Hi all,
Problem with my E39 that I'm hoping some of the resident BMW experts might be able to help out with. I have a 2001 E39 and my rear off side window is stuck in the complete down/open position after I opened it earlier today.
All the other windows operate correctly but neither up button on the drivers controls or the door itself will make it go up. A bit of background info, for the last week or so it's been doing this but only with the drivers controls, I just had to use the up button on the door itself to operate it, but now that's dead too.
Having searched the internet prior to posting most complaints about this issue seem to result in requiring a new regulator (whatever that may be), but in most of those cases from what I can see they all hear a whirring noise when pushing the button, I hear nothing. I've not had a chance yet to get the door panel off yet but I'll have to work on it tomorrow.
Any ideas as to what might be wrong and how I go about fixing it?
Thanks for any help
(Hoping it doesn't rain tonight!)
