Has anyone watched this ? Beckham and a couple of his buddies ride from Rio right to the furthest west of the Amazon rainforest.

I found it rather good. Good to see Beckham into bikes.. I'd love to do an adventure like that.. Well saying that, not sure on the camping out in the rainforest.. Maybe if they had a nice hotel in the middle of the Amazon. lol

I'll be honest, never really took that much notice of Beckham in the past... But i think he's alright after watching this documentary.

Randomly caught the first ~10 minutes or so and it seemed very contrived and they seemed to spend most of the time laughing like hyenas over apparently nothing so I didn't stick around to watch any more of it. I did wonder if it got good later on when the real "adventure" bit kicked off but what I saw was enough to put me off really finding out.

I was pleasantly surprised. Only intended to watch 5 mins after random flicking of channels but ended up watching the whole lot.
He's nowhere near as squeamish as I thought he might be, his mate in the other hand.......

It's refreshing for once to see these documentaries thats not through the media's eyes. When you have no other source of Beckham, the media really painted a black picture of him.

Did you hear about the social/friends part he spoke of?

Don't know why this has been posted now (program was on last week IIRC), but I thought that Beckham came over surprisingly well :).

True but it was on, On Demand. Can't remember what day it was on but it was after midnight.

Yeah thoroughly enjoyed this when it was on. Beckham comes across really well, seems completely jaded with the constant media junket he deals with everyday, though he may have been playing up to the cameras. He spoke about the loneliness that his fame brought him as most people just wanted to befriend him because of his fame rather than who he really was.

Trying to explain what he did for a living to the tribal elder was lol.

That was brutal when they were riding on the wet road. As they were saying how lucky the guy was. Seeing how much of the metal was scraped away.

Always 'liked' Beckham as a guy and thought he came across very well. Would love to do something similar as well!

Personally I would absolutely hate being a celebrity and I feel for him quite a bit when he was saying early on that he couldn't remember the last time he walked through a park without an entourage etc. Was interesting him explaining his job to the tribal leader too, bet it was quite humbling.
