Is this true?

I was looking at a custom build and I was told by a supplier who will remain nameless.

"Due to the built in fan controller on this case and the front panel that comes with the Black Edition motherboard it is not possible to connect both together, please change your case or motherboard."

The case is the Cooler Master Cosmos Ultra 2 and the board is the ASUS RAMPAGE IV BLACK EDITION

Is that true or just pure bs laziness on their part?

That doesn't sound right... "... and the front panel that comes with the Black Edition motherboard ..."

Front panel?

Laziness/stupidity/website error on their part.

If the website name suggests that they are specialists with PC's, avoid them like the plague.

If you ask the question here, best to shop here as well.
I buy 99% of the stuff at OCuk, the 1% are some cables, watercooling stuff not stocked here.
I never had a problems like yours here. There are real pros working here.
Proof, 8Pack works at OCuk :-)

Then you've not looked hard enough, there are plenty of other sites that are just as good and in some cases better than OC.
I never give my allegiance to one shop only, at the end of the day they're a business and their priority will always be profit regardless of what anyone says so you may as well look out for yourself and if that means buying from else where once in a while then so be it.

Thing is though, OCUK have on many occasions with myself and others, gone way above the call of duty and really put themselves out to sort any real issues. Also we get to interact with them on the forums, either publicly or privately in the CS sub forum. Many times in the past when I've had issues with other shops, the service has been appalling (and this is from some 'Major' PC etailers).

Once upon a time, I'd never shop at OCUK, not just the price, but the really bad service that they were famous for, but in the last few years, and with a change of leadership and hiring some quality staff, they are a completely different operation, and my first look for purchasing is always now OCUK.

So yes, they are all a business, but I whole heartily believe that, anyone can shift a box out the door, but it's how they respond when things go pear shaped, and that's why OCUK are winning CS awards left right and centre and are expanding rapidly, they know how to deal with people :)

Just my 2p's worth :)

Who is better?? Hit me with it!!

The ROG panel is not needed for full function of the MB. Infact in the Super Nova we don't install as we use Aquero for full monitoring function.

At the end of the day if you have spare 5 1/2 inch bays in the case you can install the ROG panel. For me no need for 24/7 only needed for benching.

Don't get me wrong, I still use Overclockers but if I find something cheaper elsewhere then I'm probably going to buy it from there and I've not had any complaints when resolving any issues (touch my wood) I've had either.
While I'm at it I better clarify my last post, when I mean "better" I'm talking about prices, they do have some cracking deals but not always, which in turn makes me look elsewhere.
A prime example is the price of the Sapphire Tri X, I would have bought it from here but found it £50 cheaper else where.

@8Pack No mentioning competitor names!

A polite warning, I purchased a motherboard from someone that was cheaper, the board arrived trashed, and I mean trashed, when I sent it back for warranty replacement, they blamed me, and have done everything to get out of replacing or refunding the board. There Is a moral to this story, buying cheap does not always workout the best, a lot of these companies that sell cheap are buying grey import, and they don't like taking things back. Paying a few quid extra, and knowing the company will back you, is worth it.

In my case, the end result £350 out of pocket, for a saving of £10. I will not name the company, as I would get banned.

You're going to get stories like that from every place, no company has a 100% record and that's a fact.
Anyway that's all I have to say about it so I'm leaving this.

While I agree with the sentiment ICEx21, most of the time OcUK are right there or thereabouts in terms of price. When looking at particular components even the big internet forest is only a few quid cheaper, or in a lot of cases has to lower its price to match OcUK!!! I fully expect specialists to be a bit more expensive and am happy to pay a premium for excellent customer service, but when shopping at OcUK most of the time I find they have the best service AND the best prices (especially when factoring in free delivery for long-term members!). That's why I always shop here first. :D
