So due I need to remove my rear reg plate but its bonded on really enthusiastically . Toyota changed the front one gratis but wouldn't touch the rear one cos it's on so snug and don't want the liability if they strip the paint. However it does meed changing as I think mycar got keyed due to the current plates:/

This intrigues me.

However, I would gently heat the plate with heatgun/hairdrier and then "cut" through with some dental floss slowly applying pressure to the plate away from the car. If it is still stubborn, there are multiple glue removers which wont damage the paint but should soften whatever they used up.

Hilarious. You think that somebody went out and picked out a car to vandalise becuase it had a Welsh flag on it and England had just been beaten at Football by a country 10,000 miles from Wales?

It'd be unlikely even if your car was on Uruguay plates but what on earth does Wales have to do with England football!?

Yep? Maybe you live in an area not full of retard people but sadly this is not true for everyone. On Thurs night I was outside having a cig and i heard 2 lads chatting and walking through the park (their view to me blocked so they can see the car but nit me) and I heard one of them comment negatively on the plates. As they were going past I thought I was going go have to interfere if they lingered around but they did not. The car was already scratched earlier in the week.not near my house so not a personal or targeted attack.

and by comment I mean, 'have you seen that ******* reg plate' mutter mutter etc all the other car near mine have regular non personalised plates and they were walking towards the exposed front plate on mine ..

Warm it with a hair dryer then get some dental floss behind it and saw your way through it (The glue, not the plate :D), once the plate's off you can use to tar/glue remover and more heat to remove the residue.

I wouldn't underestimate the stupidity of the average 'go out get drunk watch the footy LADS' type of football fans :p
