PlayStation Now - Hands on with IGN. (look at those prices)

If you wanna play old games get an old console. Seriously don't get why they are trying so hard with this. They need to concentrate on ps4 games from now on, no one cares about BC, if they do get a ps3 and shut up

I wish Sony would stop investing so much into playing games everyone has already played from the last gen in some way or form and sort out some new IP's or actual newly created sequels.

Who really wants to play PS3 game son a PS4.

Well there are some PS3 games that it would be a travesty to lose like Uncharted, Resistance, et al. Besides, playing them with a DS4 must be nicer. :D

But as others have said, it's more than the PS4. This service will probably be running on TVs, tablets, phones and computers before the decade is out.

I don't see what's rubbish about Psycho's post? He's outlined some basic points and that's all.

I understand that Psycho Sonny can be quite passionate with his ideas (which I personally enjoy reading) but I don't see anything particularly extreme about the ones in this thread so far.

Didn't they say in the IGN video that Sony had confirmed that the pricing was for testing purposes and not indicative of what the actual costs will be?

I wonder if we will see PS+ titles transferred over to this. So, say I already have Tomb Raider downloaded on my PS3, via PS+, I will have it on PSNow?

lol and probably a resounding... No!

I love my PS3 still even with my PS4. I still have great games from PS+ on it and play them quite often. That said it is having problems with locking up the odd time and i will probably buy another slim just for some of my favs but would be nice to have them all in one spot.

Oh i would also love to see cheap upgrades from games on the PS3 to PS4 like COD: Ghosts that i forgot to do. So basically if you have the game on PS3 you can download the PS4 version digitally but have to use the PS3 disk to confirm that you own the game. A fee of say 20-30% of the full game would be more palatable than having to flog/trade in and then paying more like 60% on top for a game you already have. I know people that want to do that but just end up selling the PS3 game and then buying the PS4 game second hand and paying the little bit extra on top meaning that Sony dont get the money.

I guess a cloud gaming service will be big in the future, the amount sony paid for gaikai confirms this.

most people seem to agree with me

I agree with you, this is just a waste of time they could be putting into actually making games and putting media functions into ps4. The ps3 was dead to me as soon as I got the 4, why would I play old games. People need to forget it and move on

The amount someone pays for something doesn't confirm it will be a hit.

Sony put huge amounts of money into the cell in the past and it's pretty much failed as they switched to normal cpu's. So has their minidisc media. As did HD-DVD which MS was backing.

It was a risk. They will be pushing it to TV's and tablets, etc but I don't think it's going to take off.

I think consoles in the future may one day become open source and basically a PC. Someone will create an open OS just for gaming and nothing else and then that will be the future of gaming.

Much like XBMC is an open source media system.

And what about wipeout all prior final fantasy games, tekkens,. Basically loads especially the stuff you already own on disc or on dl content.

none of them will work on a ps4 so you still need to buy a ps3/ps2 or keep your current ones

it's pretty simple really want to play old games buy or keep the old console.

ps4 is basically for ps4 games only and that is the point being made this service won't be that popular on the ps4 as BC isn't that big an issue, because as above people just keep/buy the old consoles.

in future though BC will be built in like it was on the PS2 for PS1. moving architecture to PC ensures this. so this will be the last time this debate happens.

I personally see it as them trying to fix a problem that doesn't need fixing. it will sort itself out with time.

This service wont be popular because it's not out yet and its primary window of opportunity was when there are the lowest number of games available for the ps4.

My point is I wanted to pay naybe an extra 50 quid and have bc built in.
