If overclockers have the 4790k in stock on Friday I will be picking one up, what would be a great cooler for it? I will be getting the Corsair Obsidian 750D aswell. I was looking at the H105 and H80i, Can I get something better?

if you're not dead set on getting an aio

YOUR BASKET
1 x Alpenföhn K2 Mount Doom CPU Cooler £49.99
Total : £59.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

this would be an equivalent performing heatsink for half the price.
of course an aio will make the build look neater, depends on how much you're willing to make on the price/looks tradeoff

The AIO looking neater is one of the reasons I was looking at them, What would you say is the best AIO cooler? I got until Friday to make my mind up.

they're all about the same tbh. there's only 2 (iirc) oems for aio watercoolers (3 if you count koolance, but ocuk don't stock them) so they're much of a muchness really
either the h105 or the cheaper antec 1220 would get my vote

CLC is not as good as top air. It's louder, costs more and does not cool as well.

What GPU are you using? GPUs make as much or more heat than CPUs these days. ;)

Going with a kit is definitely better than CLC.

i7 4790K is 88w TDP. GTX 780 Lightning is about 250w TDP. Capable of about 3 times as much heat as 4790K puts out.

I would love to put the card under water but I think it will cost too much, the waterblock for it is £100 + I will need other parts :( How much do you think it would cost to water cool a GTX 780 lightning + the 4790k in a Corsair 750d? I am guessing £350?

Damn will be a few months before I can do that. Is it possble to get a better loop than the OcUK V8 Watercooling Kit 240 for £250-300 with future GPU w/c upgrades in mind. I don't mind doing CPU only for a month or 2 then I can buy the GPU waterblock when I have the money.

Thanks for that but the pump is saying they are built to order? I am planning to drive to Overclockers tomorrow morning to pick all my stuff up so I don't think I can get that. Can I get something else for the same price or slightly more? I can save some money and drop the fans for now because I have 3 Gentle tycoon 1850RPM fans sitting in my current setup.
