** ASUS ROG SWIFT G-SYNC 27" 144Hz GAMING MONITOR NOW AVAILABLE!! **

Does per-ordering take the crash right away ? .. And another thing how solid is that ETA is there going to be ehh its been delayed a month ...If so then I would not even order until its in stock . Been saving for this monitor ..But would like to know will my money be taken now or will it just get taken when you have them ready for shipping ..

Ill wait on your reply OC

How many are coming in to stock ???

Why order now and have your money immediately taken, when the ship date isn't even known and the price will go down once stock levels go up??

US will be $799 compared to even £669,99 why do i feel that we are getting ripped of in the UK ...

799.00 USD = 469.399 GBP ... And its £719 dropped to £669 still very high .. Ill wait i'm sure others will have this cheaper .

But first new review from Asus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekXHvEK2bbI

I've never understood this limited stock = we are going to shaft you attitude with PC hardware. I don't think I've come across it anywhere else be it cars, tv's etc.

People shouldn't have to pay a premium just because ASUS can't supply enough. Its like some sort of punishment because of the early adoption disease we have.

Thought about it but like everyone else needed to be 4k for this price. Reading the other asus threads puts me off them as well. Really bad warranty support.

Supply and demand excuse is ******** tbh. Why don't ASUS just wait a few weeks when they can ship them in much bigger batches saving on shipping etc? They know exactly what they're doing.

£719 is not much when you say it fast ... I want one and have the cash but at that price hmmm ill wait .

Just an update not saying where but I've seen them for pre-order at £50 less ...

I'd be interested, even at pre-order price. But not committing without some genuine reviews of the quality of the Tn Panel.

If the colour reproduction and general quality is much better than my existing BenQ 2420 then I would be very interested. Impossible to tell with information we have available right now.

Gibbo - Get it back out for another play and get some side by sides with IPS/VA and some other TN 120/144Hz panels. ;)

As above, if the quality of this new TN panel is good, I don't mind the price but it is a lot of money if it will be a typifail TN panel - regardless of its selling point. Can't help but feeling stretching a TN over 27" will only exaggerate their problems.

Yes.
The ETA is from Asus, and is what it says estimated time of arrival, one would hope they will hit it.
Money is taken when you place order, we expect our stock allocation to be sold out by tomorrow as we've sold 25pc now.

Not really over priced mate. Apart from the fact you cant get 144hz 4k monitors you need at least 2 780tis to get anywhere near 60fps @ 4k, meaning in the long term you will spend more.

It is overpriced considering another thread has just cropped up with Acer planning a 4k by 2k monitor with gsync for £499.

The only thing this will have over that is 144hz, is that really worth another £200?

ASUS have always added a ridiculous premium to many their products, they do it with GPU's a lot as well. Remember their platinum 7970's costing £100 more than other 7970's that were just as good.
