I use my mobile for browsing the net, accessing apps more than I do for calling, however I am looking for a provider who offer the best packages.
I made a huge mistake and transferred my Orange number (on 3G) to EE (On 4G) as their speeds were perfect, however if you top up with £10, you then have to use that £10 to buy an add-on of 1GB of data, meaning nothing left over for text or calls, however Orange if you top up with £10, you keep your credit, you get 1GB data, so many minutes and so many texts, or O2 do 2GB on 4G with 400 minutes and 4000 texts...so many providers offer packages, yet EE doesn't (not sure why) but what would be the best network to join for what I need? I dont need minutes, just texts and data.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Just seems a bit stupid how EE don't offer any buddles when you top up, if they offered texts and data for adding money to my phone, it would be perfect, but seems it's 1 or the other. I will order a free SIM and go with 3 :D

Check signal strength in your area first because 3 can be frustrating in poor signal zones 2 mbs or less for me on 3 at the mo, useless for vid or even pics.If it's good 3 is best but if it's poor maybe Virgin or Giffgaff might be better or tbh any network with high data.

Depends where you live. I'll never move providers without testing their signal strength on a pay as you go sim first..

I trialled Three mobile and the signal was truly horrific. In towns it was fine, 3g in most places. But at home/work and other places there was literally no signal at all.

Gone back to EE now and have a great signal again.

OK, so my 4G O2 sim arrived this morning, as well as my 4G Three sim.

Which is my better bet as I only really need texts and data.
Was considering a rolling monthly sim only plan but if I can get what I want from a pay as u go sim I may as well...So which would I be better with?

+ 1 from me. 3 has some very large 'not spots' around me in Gloucestershire, so can't be relied upon
