Hi all, I was just thinking whether it would be worth it.

I currently have an ATX setup with Crossfire IceQ HD7950s(both away on RMA), would it be worthwhile moving down a size to say, Matx or Mitx and get a single card solution along the lines of a 290/290x/780?

I game on 1440p and like to keep things on ultra at all times if possible.

Im currently using a Asus GTX 750Ti OC and it does the job for what I currently play, Fifa and Civ 5, although I was trying to finish Crysis 2 before I had to send my cards away.

Any thoughts?

I'm confused, most people move to smaller form factor due to space limitations?

Why not just get a single card on ATX?

And as someone who's also owned 7950 Crossfire I can tell you that a single R290 clocked at 1250Mhz comes very very close to a couple of 7950's in Crossfire.

Haha, space isnt really a limitation.
Just thought of trying something new/different.

Were those 7950s stock?
