Light ci7 3930K overclock ?

That explains why it is such a bad clocker.
Think yourself fortunate it is still running at stock.

CPU's degrade at high voltages, and the previous owner treated the CPU very badly.

I'm the "3rd" owner of the CPU.
Originally the CPU was a review sample and it was tested and tried with those 4.9GHz and 1.5v OC. After that it was sold to the 2nd owner who had it at 4.5GHz and 1.424V. core.
So I'm the 3rd... and sitting with a CPU that can't do shjeit :(

I can only get 4.3GHz at 1.425 windows stable... could be 4.5Ghz is possible but haven't tried.

Right now everything is stock and it run from 3.2GHz to 3.8GHz via the Turbo Core setting and the CPU voltage in CPU-Z shows 1.318v when it's running 3.8GHz.

If that's truly the case that the volts have degraded it and it simply just needs a lot of volts to get over a small overclock, then just leave it at stock and do not try overclocking anymore with high volts. Lucky its still alive :X
