Food Inc - Documentary about state of food

Food Inc is a great documentary.

Another one to check out is called 'Earthlings' though be warned it's not for the faint hearted. It shows how animals are treates in the pet, food, research and cosmetic industry. It is on Youtube though again, be warned it is very graphic.

Just sat and watched this documentary , thanks for posting it

Defo worth a watch and it makes you think about what we are eating

What's killing us is sugar and carbs, we should all be told a high fat low carb diet is the way forward. This low fat nonsense is awful, low fat items have tonnes of sugar in them

I just try and eat natures bounty 90% of the time. I have a sweet tooth but you don't have to miss out. I have just had bananas, strawberrys, hazelnuts, honey and full fat coconut milk, simply divine :)

Forgot to mention, I eat mostly fish if anything, eggs and sometimes when I buy it depending on whats what whey protein is something else I've used.

Fish is not something you should be eating a lot of either. Not for your health but for environmental reasons.

Wild fish are being overfished throughout the world, populations are collapsing and so called sustainable fishing isn't really working. Farmed fish are kept in small pens and dosed up with huge amounts of medicine/antibiotics. The process of feeding them also means huge numbers of wild fish are caught and ground up to feed the farmed fish. The excrement, lice and other "byproducts" produced by the farming method cause local wild fish populations to collapse due to disease as well...

I've always known it's gotten bad in some respects the quality of our food has declined drastically. Look at all the health problems and issues associated with eating a terrible diet.

I remember when I first cut out all sugar, most processed foods (Take aways which i never ate regularly anyway any ready meals, preprepared pizzas etc) and switched over to eating a big plate of veg a day + veg with other meals such as pasta etc some fruits, I also every odd day blend a mix of green veggies kale, spinach and such.

The change in energy levels / focus was insane. It only showed up after a few months though but the difference was huge also my skin got tonnes better and I just looked healthier and more youthful. I don't eat a lot of meat but I eat fish.

I know the UK is different to the USA but I suspect there is some element of similarity in that video.

But if you are interested in health check out the video, it's pretty damned crazy it was made in 2008 so it's recent.

Kudos CREATIVE!11 for highlighting this subject because good quality food is something that should be available to everyone but unfortunately we are to busy having to pay numerous 'Bills and Taxes' to consider what we consume thus creating this market for cheap no nutrition food stuffs.

All in my opinion of course ;)
