Planning to order items for a watercooling loop from the US. Anyone knows how much the import duties would be? All items will cost $750 after the items have been shipped.

Isnt it the commodity code (lets say 10%) plus VAT (20%) plus the handling charge ?

It always seams a very vague area, Ive been stung on some printer inks from the US before that would have cost less to get from the UK in the end but not charged fro an expensive lens from HK ...its so hard to know.

I don't understand this stuff. I'm not sure anyone does. The tax office don't. You ring them three times, get three different answers.

Get them to ship it as a "gifted torch" and pay insurance. That always worked for me.

Do I win? :p

There's a list, a very long list. It has lots of generic categories and descriptions. Any goods coming into the EU has to be classified with the list, it's not easy getting a definitive description for most stuff.

Not surprising tbh Arthur. It not lawful for a start, they make it up as they go along.
