The new Mercedes C Class (W205)

Its just a model designation a la 330i / 330d

I still like the outgoing facelifted model both inside and out, think the new one looks better still...at least from photos.

I don't really understand the daft screens either tho
 
I personally love it. The only downside is the screen, but it wouldn't be enough to make me not buy one. I prefer it over both the current 3 series and A4. The mini S class looks really appeal, especially with the multi spoke alloys, looks lovely.

My old man has a w204 with the 3litre v6 diesel. Absolutely fantastic engine although I'd be surprised to see it offered in the 205 anytime soon. These days it's all about the VED and the MPGz. And as many trendy shiny baubles as you can stick on it aka the new screen


I don't doubt for a minute it will be a sales hit though and as said above everyone and their dog will be rolling about in a C180 AMG sport ipad edition this time next year
 
I've got the W204 facelift and its much nicer than the pre. The interior is a much nicer place to be however some people think its a bit too much.

Mine is the C220 CDI AMG Sport Plus. Its more than enough for my requirements and the 7 speed auto is an absolute dream.

I'm not that sold on the new one - the front end looks a little soft for my taste. I've always loved the blunt end on the w204 esp with all the kit.
 
I love the look of the new one. Not sure I would ever be tempted to buy one. All of the German manufacturers are making a mockery of their sports divisions by turning them into a trim level, it's just the standard now. I doubt any motors regulars are ever fooled!
 
I was at the dealer today and had a look at their demo cars.. pretty nice really, especially the exterior, and the top spec one (AMG Sport?) with the larger (albeit, not very well integrated screen). But they only have the C200s for now, and the C350 and C450 will not arrive until Sept 2015.. i'll ill strike that off my list.
 
I like the look of the one they have in the tv advert with black glass room, looks smart and the interior is nice apart from the ridiculous stick on tablet on it.

I just went and searched for some better interior photos after everyone talking about the screen. It looks like a complete after thought, it almost seems like they put the car together and when they finished someone says "oh ***** we forgot to fit a screen !!!!" It looks terrible. The rest of the car looks really good.

I've seen it on a few other cars too, I think the VW Up has one, surely it would make the car a theft target too.

It wouldn't surprise me, the only place the AMG logo is shown is on the mats.

It's not quite fully loaded so no doubt there is another model a little higher that's keyless and with a pana roof.
