I believe if they are separate incidients he can be charged and tried for each count, although to make it worthwhile for the CPS they will probably gather evidence on a number of cases together and prosecute them simultaneously.

If he is already in prison, they can still sentence him to extra time if he is also found guilty of other instances of indecent behaviour (as far as I know)

I am sure some legal pros will be along to clarify though :)
 
that's not going to happen, and I don't think he did.

Cliff has been A-Sexual for years, even his past relationships have been shams to appease the public,

Rolf on the other hand, is going down, and its not down under,

Having said that, I'm very surprised no musicians from that era have been questioned considering how open most are about the conveyor belt of groupies they all went through.

Lost Prophet's lead singer took it a little too far, even for the older era's. Maybe Jimmy is worst but at least one is being punished from this era.

Also, Garry Glitter. Then there was that guy from The Who, I forget his name, but he got off the hook cause he said he was viewing child porn for research purposes. Yeah right !

Those expecting jail time might be disappointed. Depending on the nature of the assaults the sentence can be as minimal as a community order.
 
The dirty dog will have plenty of time contemplate his extra leg. Hope he doesn't avoid a long sentence.

Are you automatically guilty if 5 or more people accuse you of something?

I'll be honest and say I've always felt the charges were a little suspect with the timing and everything... not to mention the background check he'd have had when doing the Queens painting and his cbe/obe etc.

But in the current climate the Jimmy Saville effect is still going to be at play in jury rulings and even people who say they're impartial will have heard about Jimmy Saville if nothing else. No matter what anyone says it will have an effect on the way you see a 'celebrity' being accused of sex crimes.

You can see it in posts in this thread and most of us here have only heard whats been given by the press etc.
