He might not live long enough to see parole. Given his age, I think it's a decent sentence especially when the judge was tied by the time the crimes were committed. Even if he does survive long enough to see parole, he'll be an ostracised pariah. He's life is already over.
 
Say he was an old man living by himself - what would happen to his home and everything like that when he's going to be away for years?

How do you figure that? He'll get parole in 2 years probably... And he looks in pretty good shape for his age. Wouldn't be surprised if he lives to his late 90s.

He's ruined the childhoods of numerous girls (most likely way more than he was charged with). How the hell is 2 years in prison an acceptable punishment?

Very sad it took this long to get the sicko convicted

I've been following the story from the beginning, and it's been reported numerous times that he's not in good health. Read into that what you will but I would suggest that a man in his 80's who is not in good health and then ends up in prison, might not have long left on this earth.
 
I love how people keep appearing out of nowhere to give their stories... Where were they when the investigation into his past was first started? It wouldn't surprise me if most of them were lying and jumping on the bandwagon, not that I'm supporting him or anything...
